I am looking forward to finally playing the game next Wednesday, but I still thought the game underachieved when it was at 95%, in standard failure territory. It failed to meet my minimum benchmark in surpassing Resident Evil 4 or at the very least the port on PS2, and the fact it didn't is just unacceptable. I know i've already said this countless times, but Nintendo really could've gotten themselves into serious trouble and had a civil lawsuit on their hands for "misleading and deceptive conduct". They just have to be more careful in the future thats all. They shouldn't have said its the best game in the series ever if it really wasn't universally recognised as being so in both editorial and user opinions/reviews.

Good riddens that this failure of a system being the least successful home console in the history of the company [VIRTUAL BOY excluded as its technically classed as a portable gaming device] is no more. This system has had serious repercussions for Nintendos reputation amongst the gaming industry and the gaming community as a whole. They let Sony Playstation 2 become the most successful videogame console of all time and the consequences of this are still being felt today. However, Wii is showing some encouraging signs but its going to take a few years of "launch style" solid sales performance for Nintendo to slowly mend the wounds they created for themselves. Heres hoping Wii can dethrone Sony Playstation 2 and become the most successful videogame console of all time and restore the company amongst the elite of sales figures once more, something they haven't experienced in the console market for the past decade.

They are two of 2006s best games along with Twilight Princess, but Gears of War in particular with all the hype underachieved like Twilight Princess has. At one stage Guitar Hero 2 was looking like it could make a serious impact in the top 10 games of all time, but then reality hit a few weeks later, just like it did with Twilight, those were the days with 96.4%, great times indeed.

Why can't the Dragon Quest game have online like all the other games their making for Nintendo DS?

I'm not sure if anyones noticed this so i'll post it, this reviewer gave the game 7.8/10 and thanks to this guy, the average ratio has now dropped below 95% and is now most certainly beyond any repair, unless another 30+ reviews of scores about 9.6 or so are posted. I really wish that were reality, but it isn't. Final Fantasy VII was voted the best game of all time followed by OOT on Gamefaqs.com, check the internet, you'll get verification there. The Legend Of Zelda was voted best series ever and Link has won most character battles, not suprisingly seeing that these humungous monsters attack him and he only loses a quarter of a heart.

SPAM ham cheese flavour? For the cheese haters in this topic, do you also not like aritificial cheese (as in flavoured powder used on biscuits, chips etc)?

I like dairy in general, drink whole glasses of plain milk on its own, have all forms of cheese whether it'd be the cheap rubbery plastic cheese or an expensive block cheese from the wheel that smells like foot odour and same for yoghurt (both savoury and sweet types).

Any official sales figures from Ubisofts games such as Red Steel in particular?

They both contribute to the same objective though, deriving a final score. Resident Evil 4 wouldn't have gotten the sorts of scores it got if it wasn't compared with previous installments in the series. Benchmarking like this determines how much the game has excelled the series within different time periods. Which in Twilight Princesses case, Zilch. Both work hand in hand to attempt to provide the truest and fairest view of a particular game.

Wii Sports a nice free pack in, but not a great one in terms of the actual quality of the game. The only reason this games number one is due to the different control method. Bowling is the only "good" game in the pack, Baseball isn't too bad either but is overly simplistic with the ball going in certain positions having a fixed number of runs you get and automatically out if it doesn't pass the diamond pitch, also the speaker with that hissing sound is just damn annoying. Tennis has "broken" controls that are extremely easy to exploit. Boxing is sluggish and unresponsive and Golf is just mediocre in every respect, 9 holes only, it should've at least had 18 for a complete course, but most people won't have the patience to master the suprisingly difficult controls with the ability to time the swing/putt in just the right place, a lot harder to do with motion then it is with a button.

Thats fine, the problem is they said the game would be 70 hours. People wouldn't have had as much of a problem with it if the gaming community weren't told these lies to begin with.

Has anyone here actually completed the game 100% officially, as in getting every single heart piece etc and if so, how long did it take to do so?

More misleading claims courtesy of Nintendo. If they really were that huge, it would take people the actual 70 hours to complete the game like they originally said it would instead of the average of around 30 to 35 hours.

Obviously evidenced by the overwhelming amount of criticism in this thread, what i've been saying all along is true. Nintendo ultimately have "misleaded and deceived" the gaming community in saying that this is the best Zelda game ever made. They could've easily have had a civil lawsuit on their hands. They've gotta be more careful in the future with making these sorts of BOLD statements. But after giving it some thought, the game was doomed to failure anyway, even if they had been working on it for the past 20 years, how can you top something that many considered perfect? You can't.

Not really as I want the ability to view every single game I purchase, just cycle through each and every single game, gaze at the introductory screens and say to myself, my money has gone towards this.

I've noted an interesting trend with your list in that its in alphabetical order, does this happen to be the order in which you likes the games from best to worst?

DON'T LOCK. I might just be needing to use this in a few weeks... Question: Who has been the GREATEST criticiser of the game upon COMPLETION of it to date? I myself am excluded at the moment as I am yet to fully play the game due to important committments, but will be starting on the 10th January, so once and for all, I can finally make a judgement on the game that will either compliment or contradict the scores given for this game. I have Extremely high expectations for this game as recognised by my constant references to scores and the littlest of flaws mentioned by gaming journalists and I expect this game to fulfill my expectations. Has the game really deserved to fail statistically? I'll have the answer for you in a few weeks.

Something thats really bugging me about the Wii remote, asking to check if this is normal. In games like baseball in Wii Sports when you hit the pitched ball, the Wii remote makes a hissing sound that lasts for almost 2 seconds and it is rather annoying. You hear if you put the Wii remote close to your ear after hitting pitched ball in Baseball and even in other games such as Golf as well. Is this normal and if so, why? Nintendo provided me with a crappy Wii remote, the nunchuck attachment slightly leans to the left, not 100% perfectly connected, same for the classic controller. The gold connector bit has a minor design issue with it, nunchuck and that remains on, just annoying that it leans ever so slightly, about 1mm out.

I'd probably purchase all Sega games on the virtual console, as I have no issues with money whatsoever, its just the extremely limited in built memory even with expansion of 2BG SD card on Wii that forces me to be selective with games...

Usually get 3 foot longs to eat (6 6 inch subs) and get the hot ones only as in meatball, chicken, cheese steak etc. Any cheese from old english to cheddar, lettuce, carrot, cucumber, tomato horseraddish, mayonaise, ranch, whatever ingredients are suitable to the ones I get (i.e. Wouldn't have mayonaise on a cheese steak sub for example but would have it on a chicken sub). Usually get the Parmesan bread and/or hearty italian bread and don't get ingredients such as Bacon Shards and sliced Peppers that incur a surcharge.
