  1. why does episode 26 just say it's upcoming? has this changed since you guys viewed it?
  2. is the wii really powerful enough to render realistic vomit?
  3. thats the thing though... i would've bought all these games if they were actually good... are you saying that kids deserve sub-par software? maybe thats why the gamecube was so popular with children!!
  4. all am saying is i don;t think they really tried. and that people shouldn't give them a break, because at the end of the day all they have tried to do is make a fast buck, without putting in any effort. redsteel you can forgive, because it really does seem like a noble effort... but far cry? come on... does it look like they's even really tried?
  5. so just because they are launch games we should just shut up and say... "oh never mind mr multi million dollar company... we don't mind that you developed these games quickly, on the cheap, and still charge us £40 for them, in fact were grateful you even bothered to make any games at all.... because you only do it to make me happy and not to make a profit for shareholders which is what you are in business for. No, we don;t mind at all that red steel has been in development for two and half years but you still made it shite." how silly of me.... as a gamer i should EXPECT launch titles to be rubbish? nonsense.
  6. LMAO what test did you do? and did you have your eyes open at the time? the signal when you plug a scart adaptor into the composite out is still the same composite signal.... when you have a true rgb out it's totally different. it's not the scart socket itself that makes a difference
  7. nonsense.... the classic controller is for classic games. it's not rocket science/
  8. phnarrrrr...... guest what...? being back of the queue is your special reward for being last on the bandwagon. enjoy!
  9. cue the tumbleweeds////
  10. i respect sll of your opinions.... i just don't agree with them. thats all. ubisoft had a massive chance to do something amazing... and they talked a good talk. In the end though... only rabbids delivers on what was promised and most review have said it's good, but not amazing. the rest of the games are bargain bin quality rubbish. you are all acting as though you should be grateful that ubisoft even bothered to make some games for a nintendo format. get out of that gamecube mindset. .. also lets do the maths. wii = at least 2 X gamecube which means: wii game being average to fair for a GC game publisher put in half the effort
  11. they didn't in the states
  12. so you are happy with half-assed launch shovelware? hardly the revolution we've been waiting for. the only reason ubi has any of these titles bar rayman and red steel is that ubi spotted a cash cow. if they had their eye on anything but your wallet, then they would have plowed that resource into making red steel the classic it could have been. kill bill meets fps... this is not. i can't get over how this company is screwing your wallets and you think they are doing you a favour... it's weird.
  13. all i'm saying is that the shot gun approach to getting launch titles out has meant that the games have suffered.... they may not have hurt the wii's reputation. but the games are not living up to their potential either. as a gamer, that seems a shame.
  14. maybe not try and milk the cash cow by having so many games and try and do more with what could obviously have been gems. do you really think a sub par far cry, or shite like gt pro are doing you any favours as a consumer? not quite sure what's idiotic about being let down by average games.... i guess all the gamecube owmers here have gotten far too used to it. yes but the wii uses a different shader system and will never make unreal 2.5 games look as good as is either A: possible on the wii... or B: what the unreal 2.5 can do on the right hardware
  15. exactly... and the wii is at least twice as fast in terms of cpu, has more video memory, and a massively upgraded graphics pipeline. it's so lazy it beggars belief
  16. hang on.... there's nothing to say that this means it's even planned for the wii.... after all, how many format exclusive games is ubisoft known for?
  17. you know... when Ubispft annouced all their wii games shortly after red steel, i was like 'way to go' now i'm like, 'what a waste' the two 'stars' red steel and rayman have both had mixed reviews and neither have lived up to their initial promise the remainder of the line up - in particular far cry, and splinter cell are just very dodgey ports.. lets face facts 1: ubisoft have been using unreal 2.5 in the launch titles (except for rayman which uses the BGAE 'jade' engine, but does not support prog scan). Unreal 2.5 will never get good results on the wii and it's use is just lazy... very lazy. the result is that all their games look like bottom-tier xbox 1 games... whereas the wii should easily be able to outshine the best that gamecube ever did. look at far cry - it's shockingly bad. and the water effect? both twilight princess and sonic show the kind of water that the wii can do - and far cry is a game famous for sparkling tropical views with lush jungle reflecting in pristine seas. Zelda has been more ambitious with it's graphics in a MINI GAME than far cry has with it's whole visual presentation. 2: every single one of the titles lacks any sort of real polish... for crying out loud, what good does it do to rush your games for the launch and then have them review poorly? 3: for all their talk of being 'amazed by wii' after e3, ubisoft has spectacularly failed to deliver... in the case of red steel, this is a crime in itself as the team was one of the first to get their hands on the wiimote - and yet they have revised the controls 3 times in the last few months of development. ubisoft are fast becoming one of my most loathed developers - most of their stuff is juts the same tom clancy rubbish recycled and swapped around over and over. if they feck up prince of persia wii.... i'll never forgive them. sorry i just wanted to get that off my chest!
  18. Like I said
  19. being a gamer during this phase of the console cycle? It's so exciting... and even thought i've been through it with every major console since the master system, it's always just as much fun! Even though i feel like an old git... there's still enough youth in me to go to bed every night and think 'just a few days to go'
  20. der.... so you're proud of putting yourself to the back of very long queue... twice in a row. well done :horse:
  21. ... anyone who claims they'd injured themselves while swish around a 4 inch piece of plastic weighing only slightly more than two AA batteries... deserves to A: wear a big sign saying 'I'm a F _ _ _ Wit' and B: Never be allowed to cut their own food with a knife. ffs
  22. considering iwata has been at pains to state that europe IS as important as the US it's a shame we're now being screwed over... anyway nintendo get's more money for selling them at the high prices they charge in europe. So I reckon they simply didn't predict the demand.
  23. 1... do you live in some empty wasteland? Hull perhaps. I don't live in a big city and even the smaller of our two branches of game is getting 50+ units. 2... there will be more on sale before xmas. 3... as the wii uses old tech, nintendo can crank these out at an amazing rate you'll get one soon enough. And if you go to non-specialist retaillers like woolies, currys, tesco, or argos on launch day i reckon you'll get one.
  24. stop being so bitter.... they've sold a wii every single second of the day since the USA launch. Just because you obviously went to some dodgey village store that didn;t place a big enough order... my local game has received more than it's initial order, so your point about nintendo deliberately limiting supply is nonsense. I will spare a thought for you on the 8th though.
