..... what a non-post. they've sold a wii every second since launch... there's bound to be shortages - but thats all it is... it's not like you'll only get one wiimote in the box and never have the chance to get another. But no component cable... tsk.. that's another story!:horse:

what's most interesting is the ps3 has only sold 300,000 units and it's onsale in both japan and the USA. the wii is going to be well ahead once it arrives in japan..

while i don't agree the launch is going to turn out a 360 style mess... i DO agree that hooking up to any large LCD/PLASMA plasma panel with composite will suck balls big time. anyone who doesn't think it makes a difference is in one of the following groups 1: partially sighted 2: in possesion of a SDTV and ignorant of the difference 3: in possesion of an HDTV but too stupid to make the best of it. it's a dirty secret of HDTV that if you hook up a 480i signal it will look far worse than the same signal on an SDTV. couple that with the fact that composite is by far and away the worst option to hook up to the screen REGARDLESS of the type of TV and, well, you have the worst of all worlds if you hook up a wii to an hdtv with composite. it's a let down for sure.... what i really can;t understand is all the people who buy a console and don't want to make the most of it's abilities - even just using a decent scart cable is like night and day compared to the cables you get out of the box. this concept applies whether you are talking about ps3, 360, or wii... you really owe it to yourself to get the best image out of your machine. it's a let down that nintendo can;t get these into stores on time... but it doesn't f-up the whole launch. ....however... if the news that red steel requires the 480p option to run on a pal wii is true... well they better have the cables.

LMAO yes... the wii-fied jade will be much whiter and neon blue and will appeal to everyone... she'll loosethe pig and be more 'every woman' than dyke. you will also be able to choose to have her look less like a man in a breast/wiimote jiggling mini game. just a thought

...actually the reverse is true... hardly anyone bought it. I loved the game, but thought jade just looked like a lesbian from brighton pride (hair died blue for the weekend, and spends her time fruitlessly trying to adopt children / has bizarre, overly close relationships with her pets).

whether or not it comes to wii will depend solely on how much money ubisoft makes back from the - lets face it - very mixed bag of launch games... the majority of which are dire ports. bgae 2 would be a dream come true...let remember though, too, that the first one didn;t sell because ubi didn't really know how market the game despite it getting rave reviews... bgae is really ubi's rez... an amazing game that's well ahead of it's time - and one that show's up the parent companies total lack of vision.

given the quality of the last few sonic games... i'd be happy for anybody BUT sonic team to make sonic... the gba /ds games were by dimps.

what i find totally amazing is that microsoft just throw money down the drain with the 360 and never make a penny in their pocket from it.... yet people think the xbox brand is huge business success - it isn't. nintenndo are always profitable

Nintendo are going to replenish all through the christmas period... and have hardly any of the manufacturing issues of sony or microsoft... regardless of what hmv do or don't do (double yawn) you will be able to walk into any non-specialist and get one... just go to currys, woolworths, argos... where ever. but please, for the love of god, stop moaning.

no one was online because hardly anyone A: bought it, or B: still pays it if they did. i downloaded the demo and frankly... it was pants. the wii should have no trouble replicating the graphics of the 360 version - they were awful. buy the gamecube version of rogue squadren/leader... it's a much better game and you should be able to pick it up for about £8 on ebay.

well... with all the near-meltdown hype... i was wondering what you are all planning to call your wii when you get to choose it's nickname during the set up process?

because ubisoft planned to have it for launch... and it's delayed in the states. but unless you are buying every single game coming out at launch, get something else, because there are far more worthy games for your cash. wait for wii sports airplane in the inevitable 'wii motor sports' collection

no it's delayed... but don't sweat it... every other version has been rubbish

<rubs eyes> you seriously underestimate the wii..... this game does not stretch it at all. none of the taito train sims have pushed the hardware... look at the ps2 ones... so there's no reason at all to hold this up as an example of what the wii can do.... resi evil 4 with slightly better textures and lighting would be a much better start than this unlit, flat textured, bland rubbish
