Streetfighter 2 turbo never ages with time

How do you guys compare the price of retro consoles to today's consoles? I remember back in 93 when i bought my SNES it came with Starfox and i bought four other games. I think i paid £350 or so (double in today's money). I checked out the latest at the time, Philps CDi, Atari Jagaur, 3D0. The 3D0 was around the £700 mark so decided to buy the SNES. I can't believe these companies got away with it. I think modern consoles are much cheaper maybe with the exception of the PS3.

Apologies if this has been posted before. Anyone know why this ain't coiming on the Wii? i knew Capcom and Nintendo had thier differences after the Snes but i assumed all was sorted by know.

You know why it was great in my case? sometimes i would lend my treasured SNES cart to someone. He will lend it to the next guy, and the guy does the same and it goes round in circles. When i visit a friends house i will see my game in there and when i ask him how he got it he would say "i borrowed it from a friend" I can't take it straight away and some times wait months to get back to me.. This happened a few times

Actually the event is finished; it was for only last saturday. They sent everyone two emails; the first when you registered your interest on the website. You were then promised an email or phonecall (i would have imagined they sent everyone emails) . I received an email as opposed to a phonecall. Did you check your junk inbox? maybe you deleted it by mistake? The last email was just to make sure you were attending.

Tellyn where you in the Leeds event? i was was pretty pleased with my efforts. I had never played the game before; heck don't even have a Wii..lol I practiced with the Cube version for a few hours and was ready.. I came a close second only defeated by a 10yr old.. dang

Did anyone take part in this last weekend at Gamestations? i did and was beaten into first place by a kid..dang.. I did practice on Smash bros Melee though..

I was dissapointed that they weren't any decent figthing games on the system (except for smash bros of course) i had expected to see SF Alpha or something but learned of the legal wranglings.. Golden eye was one of my favs though

Companies like Nintendo, Sega etc release thier design classics on special anniversaries? It would be nice if Nintendo released the SNES as a limited edition on its 20th anniversary for example. They won't need to make an modifications just release as is. Maybe the current games would be catered for the console i.e. 16bits. I know making catridges are expensive but if we keep them limited, the risk would outweigh the costs and they will all sell out within minutes. A Genesis would sell out as well. I believe the PS1 is still in sale in some countries. The idea is mouth watering:)

I think it is unfair for critics to compare sales in this game to that of say Harry Potter. The average price of GTA IV is £40 and the average movie ticket is £5. The two cannot be compared together. Anywho i hope to play this game and GT4 which means i have to buy a PS3..Doh!!!

It's a shame the last time we saw SF was on the SNES. Sagat is sad he never made it on the N64, Cube and Wii. I read somewhere about the history between Capcom and Nintendo; i will look it up again. Don't go for Virgin; i have them and they will charge you left right and center and keep cutting off your services if you setup payments by standing order and it comes out on the due date of your bill. You have been warned!
