Blender is not bad; best of all it is free...lol i think if you start on blender you can easily work your way up on many programs as modelling techniques are similar. There are many tutorials out there and i used to use Blender in 2004 but stopped because i felt limited in my abilities and when i cried for help on the forums, i was sometimes shut down. Those great modellers shuold check out the Peugeot design contest where if successful, you win Euro's and get your work displayed at the Frankfurt Motorshow (you may even get to work with Peugeot design team) My dream careers in life was: car design and game design. Sadly i won't be able to realise these ambitions as my modelling is finsihed know..lol Don't give up moddelling guys

I could not believe media reports that Microsoft never made a profit from the Xbox (all?). They are hoping that Halo3 would boost sales. So far Halo has made over £84m. In my personal opinion, i think the majority of buyers on the day were current Xbox owners or already have an Xbox as a second console. I don't think they were huge Xbox sales. I think they won't make any significant profit despite Halo selling more than the Harry franchise; strange world indeed.

I think track and field (which ironically was my first and last game i played). I was not a gamer at all until the SNES came along then i become hooked and became involved in costly SF2 bets

Man those were the days. I still never mastered killer instinct (twas very frustrating when my young kids used to beat me all the time; this was 96) i did not miss the cube at all but have some affection for the N64.

I remember mine (especially as my mum bought all the games for us..lol) it was Yoshi's island which was bought in early 1996. A great game but later that year, the SNES gave way to the N64. It was sold the following year.. Happy times

Oh what would have been. I used to read articles about this and how it would have changed gaming forever. After endless delays, they now have created a lapboard http://www.infiniumlabs.com/home.html what a shame,it would have been nice to have 4 players on the gaming scene

I have just been on a quick survey to the following stores: Virgin, Game and HMW. And all had sufficient stock (so i could walk in there today and buy one if i had the cash). It seemed like a normal sales day with just a handful of people queing the night before. This has probably got to be the least anticipated launch in history. The price put lots of people off. Been a student i can't even contemplate buying this or even afford it. Top games are £50 and if i bought two including the console, i would be reaching the £800 mark. That will broke me in no time. I think sales of the PS3 will suffer in Europe by the end of this financial fiscal year. Maybe early next year when/if Sony reduces the price then people might be interested? and the catalogue of games (most) are already been available on the 360. Well time will tell if Sony's ship floats or sinks. I am gearing towards the latter.

Gran Turismo? that's the best racing game ever. I wish by some miracle, it came to the Wii (dream come true for me)

Anyone have a Palm handheld? I have always been an avid Palm buyer (right from the M130 to my current TX) I bought my TX 3 months ago and it is now gathering little dust. Luckily i am selling it on ebay. I have lost faith in Palm as they seem to have stopped all support for handheld production rather focussing on the phones instead. The TX is a great machine but it probably will be the last Palm handheld. I will turn my attention to smartphones and the like instead:)

Nintendo is planning to release a DVD option for the Wii. Todays poll is un-scientific but would give an idea of how many people actually play DVD's on thier console be it PS2, XBOX etc PS: Mods make this sticky

The SNES out-played and out-lasted the Megadrive in all departments:) i only played streets of rage on the MD but played SNES 95% of the time

At the time i was ever only playing SNES. 1995 was a drought for me as i was playing crap games i had like demolition man, the flintstones etc. I played the megadrive but never played any CD based system like the PS2, Saturn etc. Those were the days:)
