Charlie Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 The IGN Nintendo stff were raving about it, now IGNs big-cheese is talking about it.. I've purposely left out virtual console games. That's a list all on its own -- but it'll have to wait until the launch games are officially announced (soon!) as I don't think it'll give you much pleasure to see "Unannounced Virtual Console Game" on my list three times. But that's what it would look like. So what do you guys think these (3) games could be? Maybe Rare have signed up for the Virtual Console.... Goldeneye, Perfect Dark and Conker's Bad Fur Day? We can dream anyway....

Maybe its that game the 2 M's from ign Wii are working on? Or did he say that it wasnt this?
Tellyn Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 To be honest I think we might be getting some Christmas presents from Nintendo, ie a free download like on ACWW. Some short game with multiplayer and Wifi features would be great as an incentive to buy a Wii this Xmas, then have it as a game that you pay for after, say, two weeks.
mcj metroid Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 it's probably a new way of hyping up their own game.the ign one!
LazyBoy Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 I reckon it might be one of the sonic games. In the podcast he said that he never got to play it as a nintendo kid, as if it was a game that belonged to another console.
Tellyn Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 It can't be the IGN game, they only said that they hoped to make a game. Sonic is confirmed for launch, so it won't be that. Think of some highly regarded Mega Drive games apart from what has already been announced by Sega.
Lens of Truth Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 Pleeeease be Goldeneye and Perfect Dark! Hmm, not likely. How about Castle of Illusion? Lylat Wars?
Tellyn Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 Hmm would it have been made public already if Rare and Nintendo did a deal?
The Bard Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 I'm praying for Street Fighter, Chrono Trigger and Perfect Dark...

Dante Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 I guess it is: The Legend of Zelda The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the past Toe-jam and Earl
The Bard Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 well i played mario kart 64 once and i enjoyed it and i never played original smash bros but my friends who have it tell me it was great. and alttp is a no brainer Yep, Lttp is a defo must buy...but if you have Melee, and Brawl is coming out soon, you don't need the original =S... Also: I hate mario kart of all kinds (except the DS version, which kinda rocks...)
ZeldaFreak Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 I'm going to say parodius (MsX) Metal Gear(NES??) that sega game where you had to fly through rings carn't remember what its called, and no its not sonic
Teppo Holmqvist Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 a link to the past Australia's rating board has added ratings for both Legend of Zelda and A Link to the Past to their database, so it's pretty possible that they will be on VC from the first day.
The Bard Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 I'm going to say parodius (MsX)Metal Gear(NES??) that sega game where you had to fly through rings carn't remember what its called, and no its not sonic Space harrier you putz. And the MSX version of Metal Gear was the only playable version, the nes version sucked monkey balls... Shen Mue? Can it handle Dreamcast games? Probably, but good luck fitting shenmue onto 512megs of flash memory..
Ren of Heavens Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 Shen Mue? Can it handle Dreamcast games? No, but maybe Saturn will be possible. Nights, Sega Rally, Panzer Dragoon Saga and Virtua Fighter 2 would be cool. You will need some hugh SD cards for the games though...
ZeldaFreak Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 Space harrier you putz. And the MSX version of Metal Gear was the only playable version, the nes version sucked monkey balls... Probably, but good luck fitting shenmue onto 512megs of flash memory.. Parodius was way better than space harrier, you mutz. Played it using an emulator and roms. Plus we could see live arcade and playstation platform games
Zell Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 Please Rare, give us Perfect Dark! It's my most played n64 game... and I never owned it! I didn't have an expansion pak, so I really really want it on VC. My 1st buy will probably be A Link To The Past, I missed out on GBA. I'm also gonna get Donkey Kong 64.
The Bard Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 Actually, I would also love to see Donkey Kong country...
Teppo Holmqvist Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 Shen Mue? Can it handle Dreamcast games? Yes, it's possible. PC does have some homebrew Dreamcast emulators that run relatively well even with 1.2 GHZ processor. Most homebrew emulators eat lots of unnecessary resources as their coders don't have official documents, time and/or technical know-how to optimize emulator's code. Sega doesn't lack any of these, and could optimize code very well especially as Wii is closed platform. Sega Saturn is little more problematic, as it has actually four miniprocessors inside. Emulating setup like this is pretty resource demanding even if you know what you are doing.
flameboy Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 I'm praying for: Goldeneye Perfect Dark Castle of Illusion (or even better world of illusion- two player was awesome) Doubt we will see Conkers Bad Fur Day what with Microsoft still making money out of the remastered version featured in Conker Unloaded, possibly? suppose it is last gen now...
