DiemetriX Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 Cube, xbox and PS2 looks good on my HD-TV. Xbox looks the best but it is using S-video cables and not the standard cabels.
Charlie Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 OK, i've bought one as well as there was only 1 left. It was only about 2.30 with postage so if it doesn't work it doesn't matter too much.
arnold Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 I just got a nice HD Samsung TV, and I am using it for my monitor aswell. It's in the argos book, £299 19" Widescreen. Whats that TV like? IO'm looking in the New Argos book now and the picture doersn't really show much for it, and does it have any room for an RF lead at all? doesn't really say a lot about it in the Book =/ Silly question I know but IO just want to maek sure.

Can you please tell me your TV model? You'r telling that the cube, and PS2 look good on your HDTV using the standard composite RCA cables that came bundled with the consoles, right?
Charlie Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 That thing that some of us bought didn't work with my VGA monitor
Dcubed Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 Moria, I'm assuming that you're using it with a PAL game. You need to run the game in progressive scan in order to get a picture on your monitor since VGA monitors cannot display interlaced images. If you have an NTSC game and a Freeloader, try running a progressive scan game and turning on progressive scan (Hold B on start up, like enabling 60hz for PAL games) Oh, not to mention you need to be using the GCN component cable for it to work (I'm assuming thats what you are using or is this connector a, God forbid, composite to VGA convertor!)

I would also like to here some more info on this panel if possible. Especially with regards as to using it as a PC monitor with programs like Photoshop and other media software. The price is really tempting though for what you get.
ipaul Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 I was looking around the web and i came across this... http://www.dealtime.co.uk/xPO-Philips-28PW9309 I think it seems pretty good, does anyone else know anything about this TV? - Ah I think that price is false anway, when i click on the link to buy it just comes up with a TV stand =/

I Took a chance and ordered one over the weekend and it came today, it's not a badl ittle TV, it';sgonig to take me a day or so to get used to it there, big old CRT's have livedin my house, never had a LCD one like this, and it's not bad, I thoguht I screwed up when I turned it on, kept saying to Check my PC Cables and I thought what the hell have they sent me a monitor and ot TV..then I pressed a button on the remote that took it to TV mode >>;; But I've not used it as a monitor, not sure if I will as well, but as a TV it's not bad, and oblivion looks schwing on it.
The fish Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 I just found this, it seems insanly cheap! http://www.empiredirect.co.uk/content/products/details/index~modelcode~SAM-WS32Z408D8X.htm
Kazzahdrane Posted August 29, 2006 Author Posted August 29, 2006 Yeah, that's the 32" HD WS Samsung that I've heard a lot of people talking about - mainly because of the price. Think that's the cheapest I've seen it though.
