Fierce_LiNk Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 Hope Arsenal beat Everton tomorrow, I'm predicting a 3-1 win for the gooners. The game is indeed gonna be interesting....I reckon both sides are gonna cancel themselves out...but I can see United nicking the win as well. As soon as both matches ended, i couldn't help but laugh at your earlier predictions. Unlucky, man. The United win was excellent. I would have been pleased with a 1-0 or a 2-0 against Bolton, but to score four, with Rooney grabbing three, and the bonus of a clean sheet, against a team like Bolton, it exceeded my expectations. I always get a bit nervous while playing Bolton. Especially away.
Babooo Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 Oh man its so frustrating sometimes!!!! If Arsenal want a realistic chance of winning the title then its these kind of games that we've got to win...and right now I think its a two horse race between Chelski and United. We just can't match them for consistency. I think we'll probably finish 3rd this season, since we can't seem to beat teams that play physically like the Evertons, Boltons etc. EDIT: You shut up linky boy!!!! :red:
gmac Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 woot Hearts and Rangers draw, Celtic can go 10 points clear at the top with a win tomorrow and on a side note the Hearts players are safe for another week the chairman threatened to sell the whole squad if they lost to Dunfermline
conzer16 Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 Well holy god! Leeds United are winning!! Somebody pinch me..... Scratch that! Leeds WON!! 2-0 against Southend, and we're now out of the drop zone! Come on you DENNIS WISE!!! Rooney hatrick. Glad to see him scoring again.
Max Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 wow, what a display by utd. notice how bothe undefeated teams lost as soon as people found out they are undefeated.... hmm...
Ramar Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 Back from the game, I think Stocka will agree there were two different Arsenal teams today. First half, the team that was scared to shoot, second half the team that would shoot but couldn't hit the target. Frustrating afternoon with many chances missed, and some not bad, but not brilliant performances by some players. We deserved to beat Everton, they didn't really play football, they just hoofed it all day long. Don't take your chances, you aren't going to win. Simple as. Bought a swish retro jacket, so I'm happy. Shame we didn't win really. Great atmosphere in the stadium today, a lot louder than what Highbury use to be which is pleasing.
Goron_3 Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 woot Hearts and Rangers draw, Celtic can go 10 points clear at the top with a win tomorrow and on a side note the Hearts players are safe for another week the chairman threatened to sell the whole squad if they lost to Dunfermline He said if they would be sold if they didn't win...and they didnt
Stocka Posted October 28, 2006 Author Posted October 28, 2006 We've dropped 6 points from three 1-1 home games that we essentially should have to win if we are to have a chance of winning the title. The performance wasn't exactly bad however, it's just we really struggle once we let in that first goal. Yeah Ramar the atmosphere was an improvement today, although it needs to be like that all the time. Out of around 50,000 fans not enough get behind the team when they most need it, when we're NOT winning. I also get sick of it when people shout and moan when Henry does something minor wrong, I mean come on bear in mind how much he's done since he's joined us ffs
Noodleman Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 Back up to 10th again with a 2-0 win over Southampton our home form has been great this season 5 straight wins now \o/ and we have twice as man y points as Southend \o/
gmac Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 He said if they would be sold if they didn't win...and they didnt yeah I forgot that and they play Celtic next week so guess I'll be seeing Celtic vs Hearts reserve team :P
Ramar Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 I also get sick of it when people shout and moan when Henry does something minor wrong, I mean come on bear in mind how much he's done since he's joined us ffs I was thinking the exact same thing when everyone moaned when he missed controlled it. Though to be fair henry didn't have that good of a game yesterday.
Noodleman Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 Was it true that people where booing at the end of the Arsenal game yesterday? If it is they should be banned from football for life.
Ramar Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 No, there was no booing. Some jeering at the scousers took place, but no booing.
Noodleman Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 ah ok somebody said on another forum that the players where getting Booed at the end.
Platty Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 Paper says Arsenal fans booed players at the end and it was one of henry's worse games apparently. I didnt see it. Super teddy! 40 years old and he scores a goal. Can't believe he is still going!
Max Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 Super teddy! 40 years old and he scores a goal. Can't believe he is still going! talent is never lost, only thing he lost is physical ability so Goooo Teddy!
Babooo Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 Surprised that West Ham actually won!!! And guess who they're playing next at home??? Us gooners......typical.
Charlie Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/europe/6096072.stm Beckham to Celtic?
gmac Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 Strachan has said it was a off the cuff remark he made still would be interesting to see Beckham in the hoops :P
Fierce_LiNk Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 Am i the only bloke who can't stand either Frank Lampard or Ronaldinho? Both annoy me greatly. Anyway, Lampard just scored, etc etc.
Noodleman Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 No way did Lampard mean that. Eidur :awesome:
Fierce_LiNk Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 No way did Lampard mean that. Eidur :awesome: It's hard to tell. He'll say he did, though. The cheeky so and so. Go, Eidur! Show Chelsea what they're missing.
Happenstance Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 Just a shame Chelsea equalised in the end, I was so happy Barcelona were winning. Still Liverpool had a very easy win which im happy about, and of course Gerrard finally scoring so hopefully he'll get his confidence back infront of goal now.
Fierce_LiNk Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 Meh, lucky Chelsea. I still can't stand Lampard. I think Drogba is a good player, when he's on his feet. When he's play acting, it just gets tedious.
