Dark Wolf Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 Cheer up people! It's just changing names! It's such a shame that quite a lot of the classic people have left (Geraint, Paul and that editor from ages ago, the one with the shaven head). I bought quite a lot of the N64 games, but bought all the NGC magazines. My favourite feature was the Big Brother one which I believe was in the first NGC magazine. I hope the new Wii mag will be similar to the good old days.
spirited away Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 ..like what? Nostalgia rocks Retrospective, best ninty endings, timewarrp as usual. Hope the new mag retains the former glory:)
Dark Wolf Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 Do you know if the current team are staying on? Kittsy and Greener (he's doing freelance though) are the last remaining (I think) from the good old days.
nekunando Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 Tim.. Paul.. Geraint.. Dark Mark.. Jes.. Kittsy.. Jud with his gun obsession ..get them all back!!

From what they say in the mag, jsut seems like a change of name and overall layout, doesn't mention them moving on. This edition is crammed with features and a free metroid mega guide.
Fields Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 Aw, I haven't got this yet, I need to wait for Mummy and Daddy to forward it to me at uni. I reckon NGamer/NGaming is a safe bet for the new name. Any idea how long we'll have to wait for it?
Dark Wolf Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 I don't know why, but I'm quite depressed about this NGC is the only magazine I buy.

The Bard Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 Tim.. Paul.. Geraint.. Dark Mark.. Jes.. Kittsy.. Jud with his gun obsession ..get them all back!! No way, they all left??...I seem to remember something about Kittsy having an Island named after him, Isle of Kitts or summit...but damnit, they were the legends that made NGC what it was...

... Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 I'd be very surprised if those guys were still there, actually. YOu know why? Because they're all names from the N64 Mag days and it would be surprising if they'd still be there 5/6 years later.
nekunando Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 ..yeh.. almost all of them aren't there anymore.. but those were the glory days.. in my opinion
Nintendinosaur Posted May 22, 2006 Author Posted May 22, 2006 WIL OVERTON! Get him back from Rare. FuSoYa
nekunando Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 ..forgot about him! ..still have Issue 50 in my possession with short interviews with some of the greats..

Dark Wolf Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 Kittsy's is the new editor isn't he? Paul and Geraint left quite recently
Patch Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 I read it when I was yonger.. my first magazine was when it had Mission Impossible on the cover... issue.. 17? In that issue, there is a guide for creating cutscene glitches in Goldeneye which me and a friend sent in. Though we stupidly forgot to send our return address so we didn't get a free gift. The front cover says 'and how to blow Natalya out of a window in Goldeneye' - thanks to us! In a later issue, they published a 'crazy stunts guide' for Super Monkey Ball which I also wrote. Made sure to include my address this time and they gave me two free Gamecube games: Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3 and whichever was the first Bond game. Needless to say, I love the mag and I'm a subscriber.
Roostophe Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 Me and 2 of my mates once wrote in to NGC and yet only one of our letters got published. My mate's letter was about that Link was not left-handed despite the fact that he blatantly f*cking was!
Sabre Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 Kittsy is the god damn EDITOR, he didnt leave! Mark Green and Jes are there right now. Geraint and Paul and Tim aren't there currently, though.
Tellyn Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 When did Geraint leave? He was ace! My favourite bit from every issue, they seem to have stopped now though. GRINTENDO - NGC Issue ?? The mini Pikmin does a really bad joke, they all look shifty, then "Do him Mr. Purple." And they devise some brilliant way of removing his head or destroying him.

I thought that pikimin joke thing was stupid
spirited away Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 ONE bad thing about NGC is the lack of good free items. Mostly guides on select games. But that's no biggy.
|Laguna| Posted May 24, 2006 Posted May 24, 2006 When is issue 120 out, the Final issue? There wasn't a date in the last magazine, just a picutre of the Wii and the words "The Revolution is coming" in the normal page for the next issue details.
