Hero-of-Time
During this past E3, Planet-MegaMan tracked down Keiji Inafune, the creator of Capcom's Mega Man series, for an exclusive interview to discuss the Mega Man and the next-generation. In particular, Inafune notes how his team is attracted to development for the Nintendo Wii. Sean: That's really great. And, one really quick last generic question, are you considering any Rockman titles for the Nintendo Wii or PlayStation 3? Keiji Inafune: PlayStation 3, probably the target audience that's going to purchase the PlayStation 3, uh, it's going to be people with a lot more money, and maybe it would not be the most suitable, uh, platform for the Mega Man series. Sean: I agree. Keiji Inafune: However, the Wii definitely has some potential, and it's maybe one where our target audience could embrace the Mega Man series. So while we haven't planned anything specific now at this time, I think probably that the potential is the highest on that piece of hardware. Its pretty cool I mean Megaman started on Nintendo then switched to Playstation and hopefully its coming back to Nintendo.

Nintendork
Can we just have a Wii opinion thread from video games creators? Everyone has an opinion on this console- you can' ignore it. It's getting a bit boring every time some B lister praises it everyone is like "OMG THERE COULD BE A GAME FROM THIS PERSON" when in fact the majority of people who express praise for it will not actually make a game for it. Fair doos megaman is a pretty legendary title and no disrespect to the creator- but I don't give a shit what you have to think. Tell us if you're making a game or not- otherwise quit yo' jibba jabba. The same applies to all other developpers, this cock teasing is quite lame post E3. It's free advertising basically: Sony says "we like the Wii" press goes "OMG SONY PRESIDENT LIKES THE WII PLAYSTATION 3 ADVERTISING" and people read it and go "OMG LOL" Then Microsoft do the same thing. They are just riding the popularity wave of the Wii to shift their own shit.
pedrocasilva
*thread ressurect* I was fortunate enough to have the privilege of attending the Rockman 20th anniversary event this year. While at the event I met with my previous Capcom contact (from the Ryusei event) who informed me of what Keiji Inafune was basically saying saying in his speech. Inafune stated he was surprised at the turnout, which was enormous, seriously they sold out of everything at the Rockman store in 30 mins. They actually had to tell people to stop getting in line for the store. Inafune also said that with this turnout he might consider making a new Rockman game in 5 years. When I asked about the Wii Rockman game I was told that while they have thought about it, and it is going to happen, they just don't know any details. I also asked about brawl and once again I got a no comment. So here is to hoping! If anything this just goes to show that Rockman is still popular in Japan, and that Capcom has underestimated the strength of Rockman for awhile now, otherwise they would have been more prepared for the turnout. Source: http://www.rockmanpm.com/forum/index.php?topic=4826.0 Okay, seems like Megaman Wii is confirmed, although possibly not in actual development yet, what would people like to see in this one? a 2D game? 3D game with 2D gameplay? a free roaming 3D game? jammy2211
Megaman is heading to the Wii in an exclusive game according to the people I've asked. Obviously they can't shed alot of detail on it, and it's all a bit maybe but hey I'm sure it'll happen. I'd like them to give 3d a go, no point in making a 2d game on the Wii in my opinion. Zechs Merquise
Hell yeah, Megaman deserves to be in brawl much more than Snake or Sonic, after all he was part of the N-Team on the Captain N show! And if they do make a Megaman game for Wii, please let it be a lovely 2D affair!

pedrocasilva
Use the RE4 engine and make it cell shaded i would be happyIMO Zack and Wiki engine is more apt to the task; then again we don't know if they share anything. And since I'm talking about the Zack and Wiki engine... I might add that I'd totally drool with a Breath of Fire (for some strange reason I look at Zack and Wiki's style and think it fits) or a Power Stone with that engine. Hero-of-Time
From GoNintendo Guys…this could be it. Or, it may not be it at all. What is ‘it’ you ask? Well, when I say ‘it’, I am referring to an announcement of Mega Man for the Wii. That’s just my hopes for this countdown. The official Japanese site for Mega Man has a countdown timer. What is it counting down to? Who the hell knows! Until that timer hits zero, we are free to speculate on whatever we think it may be. A new game…TV show…toy…collection…or anything else you can come up with. I will keep all fingers and toes crossed for a Wii announcement. That may make it a bit hard to type…
Guest Maase
An RPG is the best solution for Mega Men in my opinion. But a Plataform game would rull too. I Hate Mega Man Shooter/Action Adventure games :\
