Atomic Boo Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 I think what ruined the trophies thing was that you could just purchase them with the coins you earned.
Mike Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 I think what ruined the trophies thing was that you could just purchase them with the coins you earned. Not all of them, though. If you hadn't been able to just buy some of them, there'd be much fewer trophies overall.
ShadowV7 Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 Yea,there was only a certain amount of trophies you could buy.
Goron_3 Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 I found some trophies ridicuously hard to get though, like Mew (complete All Star on Hard without losing a life). Took me AGES to get Diskin aswell
Zell Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 Man, it took me like 5 years to get Diskun. I would go crazy if my smash data was ever lost.
Demuwan Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 Man, it took me like 5 years to get Diskun. I would go crazy if my smash data was ever lost. Dont remind me    *fucking annoying*
Zell Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 Dont remind me    *fucking annoying* Ouch. You must have done something to anger the gods (of smash).
Blue_Ninja0 Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Man, it took me like 5 years to get Diskun. I would go crazy if my smash data was ever lost. Okay... So once i was saving on my memory card and in the exact moment, one of my friends had his hand on the gamecube, and somehow his finger sliped and turned the power off. Yes, you guessed it right, i lost my smash save data and it was 100% complete, with all the trophies and stuff. I was petrified. Me and my brother had to win everything back again and it took us a few months.
Blue_Ninja0 Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 100 per cent? You had exactly every trophy? Every single one, and believe me when i tell you that i got PISSED when it got deleted and had to win everything again.
djamb3 Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 How many there are? And if anyone make me that I swear I 'll hit him with the GC until it stops working...
Raven Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 ...Anyway, if you want video game characters, Earthworm Jim wouldn't be a bad idea? EWJ is one of the best ideas i have heard in a long time!!!!! 'Zell has just gained a level in awesomeness" his moves wouldnt be difficult to make at all, he was nintendo/sega based. and he is so cool! the cartoons (based on the game might i add) were the most underrated cartoons ever. they were hilarious... and witty!
ShadowV7 Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Earth Worm Jim was amazing,I watched it every sunday when it was on Channel 4 and I love the SNES game.Put him in I say!
Goron_3 Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Earthworm Jim wold be pretty awesome. The SNES version was just awesome
Patch Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 How many there are? In the PAL version there are 290. The hardest one for me was the one where you have to complete Adventure Mode on Hard or Very Hard (hmmm, difficult choice) without losing a continue. Curse those pokemon! Is that the Diskun trophy? I'm half tempted to delete my data just to get all the trophies again. Sure, some of them were a ball-ache to get, but that's what made them so satisfying to get.

To get Diskun you had to get every single end of level bonus in the game (like Half Minute man, No R 4 U etc). Was a pain to get some though. One required you to use every single move your character had on your opponent in one life.

Other hard trophys included Mr Resetti (5 kills in Cruel Melee) and Sheriff (total time under 12m30s in break the targets, an average of 30 secs per character). I found Sheriff particually hard. In the PAL version there are 290. The hardest one for me was the one where you have to complete Adventure Mode on Hard or Very Hard (hmmm, difficult choice) without losing a continue. Curse those pokemon! Is that the Diskun trophy? The one you are referring to is Mew.
Goron_3 Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 Aslong as there are more trophies that require effort to get, I'm happy. Would be great to see who can get some of the harder ones first.
Kurtle Squad Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 I wish they'd just release a lil more info about Brawl, but I bet we wont hear anything til next year
Mike Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Diskun's the only trophy I couldn't get. Some of the things that you had to do, like completing the classic or adventure mode without being hit, were just too difficult.
arab_freak Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 I hope this hasn't been posted yet. This is a video explaining the "lyrics" in SSBB's main theme. It's really weird. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDvq79XTiww
Kaeporagaebora Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 I actually do restart my melee on a regular basis. I don't get rid of the old one though. All trophies, b*tches! On the new ones, I usually only unlock the characters and stages. The trophies take forever. Also, I like that video.

Noob *OMFG suicides*' I like the part about Wife (he's such a good peach player) and the Ken combo :P. The Spanish version is great aswell, cos it says Negro
