Falcon_BlizZACK Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 Better image of the boxart. But where is Snake? SURELY having Snake on the cover will be a major selling point, plus his not a hidden character.
somme Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 Not really bothered what the box looks like. :P
killer kirby Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 But a lot of other people do :P Just look at A-N(Aussie-Nintendo), there are sticky threads dedicated to box arts :P
Guest Jordan Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 New updates: Pokémon Stadium 2. Mario's new Down + B Special = FLUDD. FLUDD = Win Win Win! Someone else can post pics :p
pedrocasilva Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 Someone else can post pics :p Double update: Mario: Special Moves <Down Special Move: F.L.U.D.D.> It appears Mario has a new special move! It’s F.L.U.D.D. He really is carrying F.L.U.D.D. on his back! Tilt the Control Stick down and press the B Button to charge up... Hose ‘em down! Blast those enemies away. It does absolutely no damage—it’s just for sending opponents great distances. You can even charge it up while shielding. It’s best used in critical moments. Huh? What happened to the down special move he’s had up until now—the Mario Tornado? He still seems to have this move, though. Eh? Is it a normal attack?! Source: http://www.smashbros.com/en_us/characters/mario.html Pokémon Stadium 2 The previous game, Super Smash Bros. Melee, featured Pokémon Stadium, but it’s been upgraded for this game into Pokémon Stadium 2. This time around, you’ll see guest Pokémon appearing in the background. Ordinarily, it’s a fairly orthodox stage when nothing special is happening. But as time passes, the terrain transforms into four different types: "Electric," "Ground," "Flying," and "Ice." When it transforms into Ice, things get extremely slippery! A mountain of earth appears in the middle of the screen for the Ground stage! On the Flying stage, everyone’s jump abilities get boosted! For these four transformations, we’ve chosen types that were not present in Melee. Terrain that changes suddenly makes fights excitingly unpredictable. Zelda_Rulez Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 Great update, I wonder how Mario's former down-B is activated now? The Pokemon Stadium 2 looks to be a fun stage as well. We haven't seen the electric one yet.
Deathborn Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 Great update, I wonder how Mario's former down-B is activated now? Probably a charged down smash. It's good to see they try to renew old characters. Now it's sure Luigi will have his Poltergust and will be even more "decloned" from Mario.: peace:
Guest Jordan Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 What so he sucks enemies in rather than blowing them away? Pretty smart idea actually.
Owen Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 This still looks amazing!!! Gets better with every screenshot!
Falcon_BlizZACK Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 That FLUDD is going to be annoying to fight against a Mario player...It will be like football hooligans fighting against fire trucks with hydro pumps.
steggy Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 What so he sucks enemies in rather than blowing them away? Pretty smart idea actually. He could suck them in and then shoot them off into space. Actually that would make a pretty good throw move for luigi, similar to DK's throw in Melee.
Deathborn Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 What so he sucks enemies in rather than blowing them away? Pretty smart idea actually. Not only only enemies. He can also suck few items at once and throw them as a bunch. I first thought of that as a move for Kaptain K.Rool.
Jonnas Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 Great update! Pokémon Stadium 2 will rock. The flying stage looks awesome. I wonder what the electric stage will be like, though. Mario's update interests me. If his Down B-Move changed, how many others will change, too? But the F.L.U.D.D. is cool, too. Seems to be designed to be Anti-Recovery. About the Mario Tornado, I assume it's an aerial only move. From the videos and screenshots, he only did it in the air. (Also discarding the theory that it is a Down-Smash)
Whisky Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 Awesome update. Pokemon Stadium 2, another randomness stage. Me likey. All of the types. And FLUDD is definetely cool. A pain to fight against, probably. That FLUDD is going to be annoying to fight against a Mario player...It will be like football hooligans fighting against fire trucks with hydro pumps. Exactly
Guest Stefkov Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 Looking forward to the flying stage. It'll be like all the characters having bunny ears. Awesome.
Zell Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 Yay, pokemon stadium was one of my favourite stages. So how do you guys think the Mario Tornado will be activated? Seeing as he specifically said "tilt" when refering to the fludd, I would guess that it would be a down B smash.
Cube Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 If is just me, or does "Pokémon Stadium 2" suggest that the original will be in there, too?
Goron_3 Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 Yay, pokemon stadium was one of my favourite stages. So how do you guys think the Mario Tornado will be activated? Seeing as he specifically said "tilt" when refering to the fludd, I would guess that it would be a down B smash. I'm a bit annoyed about the flying section of PS 2. And maybe marios spin-tornado thing is his Nair. Would be like Marth's in Melee but just does it twice!
harribo Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 If is just me, or does "Pokémon Stadium 2" suggest that the original will be in there, too? Just sounds like its the sequel to me.
McMad Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 Ah man that box art better not be real, it's pretty awful. (imo) And where the hell is Snake? We haven't seen him since the Nintendo World trailer last year.
