Im more than happy to go through it again, just have to wait til im done with Castle Crashers. I will definetly be ready by the weekend to blitz through it with you.
Dyson Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 @Jordan (oh god I've become twitterified), Definitely up for that. Achievements agogo baby! Curses, I've lost the bit at the end of the controller that connects the round connection to the usb. I can't seem to find them around on the internet, irritating as I imagine it'd be quite cheap to replace Anyone know where I can find these or what they're called?
Hero-of-Time Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 Finally a date has been set! Atari has announced plans to bring Namco Bandai's Xbox 360-exclusive Tales of Vesperia to Europe in June. The latest in the long-running RPG series puts you in the role of Yuri Lowell, a former Imperial Knight, who lives on the planet of Terca Lumireis, where the people exist in an uneasy bubble of protection afforded to them by the Empire's control of an ancient technology, "blastia". As you'd imagine, Yuri "will explore the complex relationship between blastia, the government and its people, setting foot outside the safe confines of the cities to explore a mysterious and dangerous world", according to Atari. Then he will of course do some punching, using an upgraded version of the Tales of the Abyss real-time battle system, which now includes encounter-linking (bringing roaming enemies into battle) along with the old surprise encounter system, and special objectives within boss fights. You will be able to chain together attacks, deliver commands to others in your party as you fight, and take advantage of Fatal Strikes, Burst Artes and a multistage Overlimit (see Tales of the Abyss and Tales of Symphonia). Later you can do some cooking, which is something of a series mainstay. Tales of Vesperia has been out since last August in Japan, where it made a decent impression on the charts and picked up some impressive scores (35/40 in Famitsu), and also came out in the US around the same time, doing likewise. For some reason we didn't take a look at it at the time, which is unlike us. Why else did we buy that US Xbox 360? We'll grab a copy soon and let you know what we reckon.
BeerMonkey Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 ah *bleeping* last!! will defo be getting that

Also, couldn't you just... find it? It can't be far away.
Dyson Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 ....you're using wired controllers? Also, couldn't you just... find it? It can't be far away. No, it was on my RB instruments. Unfortunately I think it's been lost in transit between my uni flat and my house
Shorty Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 No, it was on my RB instruments. Unfortunately I think it's been lost in transit between my uni flat and my house well, it's called a breakaway cable if that helps you look for another
The-Ironflame Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 Damn Star ocean and Vesperia in the same month! THANK you Atari no thank you to Namco.
Ganepark32 Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 ^ was wonder if or when that'd get a mention. Watched it last night and it's disgusting to say the least that Microsoft will not replace discs if the console has done the scratching and it has not come about as a result of moving the machine. The machine shouldn't be able to do it in the first place. Gonna be interesting though to see what happens with the US court case about this very subject cause I don't think Microsoft have a leg to stand on with a machine that clearly has a fault. If their not careful, this kind of lawsuit might start popping up elsewhere.
Dyson Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 So I looked on the web and ebay and have been unable to get hold of a breakaway cable. I then call Xbox Support to see if there's anything they can do about it and all I get is "Buy a new controller" before being hung up on. Fucking angry.

Columnar Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 FINALLY managed to bag a copy of Battle Fantasia the other night and it arrived this morning. Its pretty sweet actually, not a patch on SFIV but still a really enjoyable beat 'em up. Anyone else got it? Its had a really limited release here and its a shame because it would be great to be able to find a match online but there's no-one out there!!!
ThePigMarcher Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 The pleasures of being late to the 360 party. I noticed that shopto are doing Overlord for £9.99 and it was something I was keen on picking up (being a Pikmin fan) so I couldn't resist it at that price. Arrived today and it seems like a solid enough , fun and enjoyable game , still very early on though and the lack of a map may be a problem , but should be good practice for Overlord 2 when it hits. I may need to start work on the games backlog soon though , as it's getting a little out of control.

I got it for the PS3, its a shame it got completely overshadowed by SFIV. It really is a good game in its own right.
Shorty Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 The week ended and... I didn't spot any free MS points from coca-cola?
Nintendo Fan Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 I found out today that i shouldnt play my xbox360 while its standing, it broke 2 of my games, laser burn or somethin Only had them for about 2 weeks. I called up gamestation told what happened and they'll replace the 2 games. They also said that the xbox360 isnt broken and should be played lying on its side.
Caris Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 Tell them to get stuffed, the 360 is broke if you can't use it while standing up...
LegoMan1031 Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 What Caris said. It is designed to be played either way, hence how the green lights change position depending which way you have ur console... Its like GAME telling me a few weeks ago that my controller wasn't faulty even though as soon as i started using it both joysticks were unbarably squeeky (after the manager saying that though he still changed it for me).
Nintendo Fan Posted March 29, 2009 Posted March 29, 2009 I thought so too, got it replaced just now and they replaced the 2 games. I took no for an answer and kept going on untill he agreed that the 360 was faulty.
Ganepark32 Posted March 29, 2009 Posted March 29, 2009 ^ well done. Don't let those idiots make you settle for less than you should get. Can't believe they tried to fob you off by saying you have to play the 360 on its side otherwise it'll wreck the discs. Actually, I can believe it but really it's disgraceful they said it in the first place. At least they did replace it though.
