arab_freak
I don't know if this is a deliberate April Fools joke, but it does look like it. Anyone who has ever donwloaded this nifty program would've looked at Area 51 by now. But...have they spotted this? Type "Area 51" in the fly-to box and try to find this location: Now zoom in for a surprise! Ah, so it IS a joke. demonmike04
You can tell that UFO is fake, but AREA 51 is actually on there, all you can see is runways and no aircraft.
Blackfox
If you go a few miles to the south-west of Area 51, you can see the nuclear testings grounds. Some massif craters going on there... at 10 miles out.. the largest crater there compared to the size of a plane at the same altitude and compared to Trafalgar Square at the same altitude. Even one of the smallest nuke craters would totally devistate a huge area of a city. (all the photos were at 3000 feet for comparison purposes) Feel free to post some more Google Earth related stuff here.
Tellyn
Yes, I looked at Area 51 the other week and was surprised it was listed. But it disallows zooming.
demonmike04
Jesus christ! Never seen them! I pretty much expected a small nuclear bomb to be very devastating any ways, but it is pretty scary considering Russia has 'lost' many of its nuclear suitcase bombs. Howcro
Woah there's some freaky stuff there. SO many craters! Google Earth is so cool, they updated their images a few months ago, especially for the UK, so look for your house if you live in UK and you should be able to zoom in quite close. A great site for finding new and exciting stuff is googlesightseeing.com, I remember when I first started using it I spent hours just looking at tons of places. Cube
The craters, if filmed in black and white, would look a lot like the moon, would it not?
