AshMat Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 Like.. what is? edit: ohhh i get it now:p haven't played it.
shade Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 It has a nice game structure, the brabching story line is pretty cool but the gaeplay and the level design sucks ass.
Raven Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 i liked it. nice to see some storyline in a sonic game. i didnt mind the level design to be honest. there was nothing in the game that i reckoned 'sucked ass'. but interestingly enough, im not inclined to play it again anytime soon....
ShadowV7 Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 I liked the game a lot, good story, lots of playing time.Could of been better without the gun though and I liked the level designs.
Hero-of-Time Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 I have had the game since Christmas as I got it cheap off Play.com but I have yet to play it. I will no doubt start it after I play Sonic Riders as I will be in a sonic mood then.
demonmike04 Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 I liked the game, there is plenty to play on it since the structure is so unique for a sonic game. It annoyed me when NOM put as a bad point for the game 'Levels just dont have that sonic magic any more', its a spin off. Its like SA2, people gave it crap reviews but the game was absolutely legendary, except Shadow will never be legendary, but just a good spin off. I wouldnt recommend this game for all people, but just for those who like a good long play and complete mindless cartoon violence.
Sarka Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 Erm... I dunno what to do with this topic. I suppose I'll just let the Shadow conversation roll. I didn't pick it up as Iwas sourly disappointed when I got Sonic Heroes and I didn't like Rush either, so I have no desire to play a Sonic game ever again.
ShadowV7 Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 I like Shadow though,Him and Sonic are my favorite characters.I love the Sonic Adventures and Shadow the hedgehog games
Kurtle Squad Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 Wow....there seems to be a lot of support for this game in this thread, unlike what reviews have been doing...maybe they're too criticising?!
ShadowV7 Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 I think they are to criticising ever since Sonic went 3D
Hero-of-Time Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 Thing is all the 3D sonic games have had the same problems which are the camera angles/movement and the fact that sometimes you do a homing attack and end up flying off the side for no reason. They need to get rid of all the sidekicks and take sonic back to his roots. Also why in the hell did they changed Dr Robotnik to Eggman??!!!
demonmike04 Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 Yeah, i prefer the 2D sonics better than the 3D ones, but that doesnt mean to say i dont find the 3D games enjoyable. Hero, they had to change the name because they need to make the story universal. In japan he was on earth, in the west he was on mobius. So when they started to have games with storylines, they had all the same names. I think they started calling him eggman at the world comic expo in japan a few years back. In america he was known as robotnik for he did invent robot's to battle sonic, in japan it was eggman because he resembled an egg. Both true, but to make something universal, you have to agree on something.

Kurtle Squad Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 Actually, I don't think it was ever mentioned that he was on Earth in Japan, it wasn't mentioned where it was actually set I don't think....That what I've heard anyway... I don't mind the homing attack, I dont think I've gone off the side too much, I think it can come in handy a lot of the time.
AshMat Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 Played it my mates today, thouht it sucked. The controls were too sensitive and the camera angles were crap and didn';t follow properly, makeing it impossible to shoot without staying still#
Atomic Boo Posted March 6, 2006 Author Posted March 6, 2006 ^^^ exactly, and its just annoying when you get shot and you cant see the enemy controls are trash and its just utter rubbish. get a game worthy of your money.
ShadowV7 Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 get a game worthy of your money. Yea this game : peace:
GigaPlay Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 The game was sub-par, with pretty bad controls, especially how he moved left and right while holding forward. The camera also needs a bit of work. I like it story-wise, but it fails in other departments.
Hellfire Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 I find this game the spawn of satan. How someone can like it it's beyond me. But hey, to each one their own.
KKOB Posted April 8, 2006 Posted April 8, 2006 my cousins have finished this game like 7 times just to see all the videos-and then they said it was one of the best games ever made-so i gave them a go on shadow of the colossus and they hated it! some people just have no taste!
