drahkon Posted April 9 Posted April 9 (edited) 'ello! I'm looking for stand-up comedy specials to watch, so gimme your favs. Edited April 9 by drahkon
drahkon Posted April 9 Author Posted April 9 Stand-up. I always considered "comedy specials" synonymous to "stand-up specials"
bob Posted April 9 Posted April 9 Ah, I think you're right - that seems to be what Netflix calls them. I think it's an American term. Anyway, depends on your style of comedy, but Bill Bailey - Bewilderness was a favourite of mine growing up. Surrealist comedy with musical numbers.Ross Noble is another of my favourites. Any of his shows really. Nonsense ramblings and interactions with the crowd. I know he's a bit controversial these days, but Ricky Gervais early standup was pretty good. He knows how to tell a story and hold the audiences attention. I think "Animals" is the best. 1
EEVILMURRAY Posted April 14 Posted April 14 Most Lee Evans stuff is awesome. That's the Way A-ha-a-ha Joe Lycett is good too
Hero-of-Time Posted April 14 Posted April 14 Another one of my favs. Actually sat and watched it again the other day due to this thread. 1
jayseven Posted May 1 Posted May 1 John Delaney's specials (aside from his most recent) are great. Bo Burnham (duh) , and echoing Bob's sentiment about Ricky Gervais, his specials are pretty solid despite what the man stands for these days
