So hey, all you regulars. Have any of you noticed that "Clubs" has appeared on the top of the N-Europe site recently? Well, Ashley and I have been fiddling around with it, and it seems to be a decent way of having a way for the site itself to remind you of when we play Mario Kart. Yeah, as a notification, like when someone quotes you. So I've made a club for our usual Thursday sessions. You forgetful types out there can join the club, click the event "Mario Kart 8 Deluxe", and set yo

Who'd thunk one Red Shell could make such a difference?

Anyway, now that we're less then a month away from Mario Kart World, I've got a secret to confess.

I've been quietly blocking some red shells without any items for months now.

 

It's not always possible, and I think you can only do this with an inward drifting bike, but the hitbox of a shell is wider then the bike I use, so much so that if I get close enough to a corner without bumping the wall, the red shell will hit the wall before reaching me.

Just in time for it to not possibly work in World! Yaaaaayyyyyy!

Mr. Scooty can do it as well, but I guess you do it the opposite way, you have to drift so the rear is against the wall.

OK, last weeks first as I never got around to them.

And now for this weeks and curse you @Glen-i

Certainly not my night. Baby Park. I went 6 and a half laps without getting hit. Easy win then I got hit once, was OK, but then on the last corner, I think it was lightning again that screwed me over to come third or worse.

Ah i should have stopped where i was instead of driving on. The blast from the blue shell didn't quite reach you.

That was fun.

So I know we have close finishes between maybe two players. But this is the first time I've seen all NE players cross the line so close to each other. 

Ok guys. Lets get as many playing next week for the final tour of the all cup tour and last night of MK8 for a while.

Shout-out to the jerk who waited until I was in the glider before Red-Shelling me on Yoshi's Island. That was after already spamming me with Red Shells. :heh:

Pretty bad night for me, kept getting stuck in the scenery, either through my mistakes or being bumped off.
