EDIT: Wow, @RedShell, you still use tap jump? Dude, you've gotta switch to button jump. Short hops are super useful!

I know, I know.
But after 25 years of playing Smash Bros. with tap jump, there's just no way I can rewire my brain at this point. :heh:

I was watching on the stream and @Ike had a really good win streak going. Snatched away from him right before the tenth win, but it was very well done. And it was a one point loss that did it, so it was very close.

yeah apart from the obvious disconnects that was a fun night. @Ike was on for a 10th win in a row but three way sudden death that time didn't go in your favour and I was able to take the win. Great run though.

Also lots of "You came to the wrong neighbourhood" matches tonight.

You'd think it was Earthbound/Mother theme the number of times the randomised picked Lucas/Ness.

Sudden death was not my friend tonight.

You didn't even see the double Lucas during the Custom stages.

So there was a double Lucas and double Ness matches?

I got Sheik and Sephiroth twice as well.

Yeah, gonna have to bow out. The connection is not playing ball.

I decided not to rejoin after the 2nd D/C, just in case the problem was on my end (apparently not) but it was almost time for me to stop playing as well.

Anyway, cheers for the games everyone, as always.
Hopefully things go smoother next time.

We also got one very funny one that left myself, @Glen-i and @S.C.G acting like little children.

finally found it. I thought it was Zelda, but it was Palutena.

I went back to relive this laugh. And was greeted with a warning that this video was for "Mature audiences only"

Take what you will out of that...

Stock Format tonight at 8pm. With Time Format Custom Stages from 7:30.

That's just how Twitch is set up, it's because the last game we played was the original Perfect Dark, which originally had an age rating of '18' so it gets a 'Mature' warning, and rightly so... it is in the N64 Mature app, afterall.

It'll change again once I put in the stream details for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tonight.

See you in about 12 hours... (or less) :peace:

Awww... That's less funny. The possibility that someone was scrubbing through some random guy playing Smash Ultimate with his friends and seeing that freeze frame and immediately reporting it was quite amusing.

I've changed it now, so you should be able to view the highlight without signing in, also, amusingly... soon after you change the game to one which isn't rated 'M' you can then view the Perfect Dark stream as well, because it's a highlight, so it doesn't seem to mind? It's just when you have an 'M' rated game as the last stored one in your stream info.

Oh, I'm always signed in here, I had no issues getting in there.

OK, now it's funny again.

Seems like a really dumb oversight.

Yes, that jump scare with the creepy face from last night will get it an 18 on its own. That was enough to scare anyone.......to death from laughter.

Can't wait to see if @RedShell has a new stage for us.

My internet is still borked. Will try tethering my phone and see how it goes.

If you have decent connection on the phone and you can get it to tether I do know from experience that it will be good enough to run an online Smash game through it. I've done it once before when I was away on holiday and wanted to play. (it was even good enough for me to use voice chat too).

Just streamed 2 anime episodes just fine while tethered so hopefully.

Do you remember how much data it used?

I don’t remember the exact amount but I’m sure it was well under 500MB. It way have been close to 300. It really wasn’t a lot.

Seems about right, pretty impressive.

Just so we're clear. The last match was "Sakurai lunchtime rules" right? First to Kamikazee wins?

What do you mean, no!?

You narrowly avoided that metal slash death.
