Anybody into alt-J?

To me it's one of the best bands in recent years, maybe ever. They are so creative with every song, both instrumentally and lyrically.

Their new album Relaxer is a masterpiece.

Few years back Left Hand Free was pretty big on the radio. I quite enjoyed it but that's the extent of my checking them out.

I listened to the album that Left Hand Free was from as I loved that song. The rest of the album bored me senseless :/

I'll give Relaxer a listen but if it's anything like This Is All Yours it'll probably be a one and done.

I'm just here wondering what the J stands for.

Or is it an actual alternate J?

Because that's just a curved L.

L is a stupid name for a band.

Oh please. I don't have a band.

I'm a positively smashing rap artist!

Pressing alt and J on a Mac gives you the band's symbol .

Part of me thinks that's actually kinda cool.

The rest of me is thinking, "They use a Mac?"

I quite like them. Everybody loves Left Hand Free, but they've got some other great tunes, too. I've got a few of their songs in our almighty Spotify playlist. Every Other Freckle being one of them. Haven't listened to the new album yet, but I'll add that onto the to-do list. The boyfriend of @Eenuh's sister is a fan after he got This Is All Yours as a Christmas gift either last year or the year before.
