I have yet to start this weeks Giant Bomb episode but apparently its pretty much all MGSV talk. :yay: You had a listen to it yet, @Happenstance?

I havent listened to it yet but I did hear it was basically a Spoilercast for MGSV. They did one for MGS4 when it first came out as well so its nice to carry on with that. I heard the only thing they didnt spoil is the true ending.

I just listened to the first 50 mins while driving back from work and it's been awesome so far. Jeffs reaction/thoughts in regards to Miller had me in stitches. :D

Who is on the podcast this week then? I assume its not Drew as he will be playing it fresh for the Metal Gear Scanlon premium series.

Posted
Brad, Jeff, Dan and Jason.

Ah good. A good collection of Metal Gear minds.

I hope once Drew finishes the game as well they do some kind of on-camera wrap up discussion. Similar to what they did where they actually talked over Vinny playing the end of Bioshock Infinite.

Just finished listening to this weeks RFN. You listened to it yet, @Goron_3?

I'm still not struck on Greg being a main contributor. The dude was shocking on this weeks episode when the discussion about Sin & Punishment came up. I mean, it was Jon who played the game, it was his new business, yet he kept butting in and having his say. At one point James directly asked Jon about it, yet Greg answered.

I also find his voice a little grating at times. For some reason I imagine him as being a really obese bloke. Dunno why. :wtf:

@Happenstance?

I agree with this, he does tend to monopolise the conversation which can become tiresome.

Definitely, man. They research each episode really well.

PS @Hero\-of\-Time, dig your GBA Micro out and blast through Link to the Past on that.

Listened to it yesterday during a journey out. Some interesting bits in there, few I didn't know either. Bit surprised at their lack of knowledge about Chris Houlihans room though - that(and how to find it) has been widely known on tinternets for quite a while! Interesting discussion nonetheless - inspired me for a potential thread at some point and definitely for another play through.

I also hadn't quite realised but there's both a SNES and my original cart in my front room so its almost fate...

@Hero\-of\-Time looks like Giant Bomb have a Spoiler Snakecast on their schedule for tomorrow so I guess we'll be getting a full on spoilercast now for MGSV, maybe even the entire series.

Yeah, read about it the other day. The guys were toying with idea in this weeks podcast, so I'm glad they are going ahead with it.

Do the spoilercasts show up on the iTunes store or will I have to look elsewhere for it?

I think they do still appear in the Giant Bombcast feed

Finished listening to this weeks Radio Free Nintendo episode yesterday. It was nice to have Syrenne back on the show and even better was that she took Gregs place for the week!

Man, she didn't paint a pretty picture of Animal Crossing: House Arrest at all. She didn't agree with the price of it, the little amount of gameplay or the way that Nintendo are fleecing people when it comes to the cards.

I think the whole thing would be easier to swallow if the game was F2P but seeing as the game is a fully priced retail release, AND requires cards if you want certain villagers to appear quickly, it seems a little hard to take.

We must like the opposite people. I DETEST Syrenne :) Find her so so so irritating and pompous, and although Greg needs to learn to shut up (but then so does Syrenne) I think he's one of the better ones.

Animal Crossing does sound disastrous, definitely getting it. Quite pleased to be honest, save some money, time and not being tempted by those stupid cards!!

I'm assuming there's supposed to be a NOT in there. :D

I like how Syrenne comes on the show and usually has been playing a game that hasn't hit over here yet. It gives a nice preview of what to expect.

Did you see Jonny Metts gave out his Mario Maker ID the other day? I'm not fussed about such things but i'll hunt it out for you if you want to play some of his levels.

Oh yeah, she knows her shit and plays some great games from japan, it's fascinating.

Yeah I'll definitely take that, why aren't you bothered about playing his levels? Or sis the game just not doing it for you?

And yes, definitely NOT getting it (I think we both know there's a good chance I'll still get it...)

Yeah, game isn't doing it for me. I bought it with the intention of playing 100 Mario Challenge on a constant basis but the levels are mostly garbage. I also hate how the game spams your Miiverse activity feed with peoples stages, so much so that I deleted everyone the other day.

I'll probably keep playing until I unlock all the costumes and then shelve the game.

Anyway, here's Jonnys code.

I watched some BitBlock gameplay videos and it looks like it will get boring really fast. The fact he stopped making videos probably says a lot as well.

Just listened to this weeks Giant Bomb...absolute gold! Spider armies, coin collecting, porn, bats vs knives, Megaman boss names, bear fights, it had it all. Brilliant episode. :D

Oh is that the LA Podfest episode they did about a month ago?

Posted
Yeah. It was hilarious. :D

Yeah I ended up listening to it this afternoon, really good as you said. Just makes me realise as well how much I miss Vinny on the Bombcast. He bounces off Jeff so well!

@dazzybee have you listened to this weeks RFN yet? I was well happy with this weeks guest. I actually shouted "GET IN!" while listening to it in the car this morning. :D

Ah no. Exciting. I will tomorrow. Don't tell me :)

I just had to post again after listening to that episode. Brilliant :yay:

Really enjoyed the NX chat. Very convinced we'll see it in 1 form by the end of the year.
