Choze
NFS was pc with PS4 controller. Didnt see Skylanders. My impressions: PS4: Killzone Shadowfall: Very good! Start off with the bad. The game has some low ressish effects. At a distance i questioned if it was full 1080p. close up its fine but yeah the effects have a weird interlaced thing going on right now and jaggies seem low res on certain objects. I am guessing its because of the rain level. Looked amazing overall. Probably easily the best looking thing at the show. There was also Crysis 3 pc nearby for comparison. Crysis 3 has some advantages in textures but Killzone has good textures with more effects going on them and more players and stuff. The other bad was that the game kept asking for damn missing files. Missing sound fx please press ok. Missing object press ok. Annoying. It made experimenting a little tough. Gameplay was awesome. ADS is trickier than it looks and hip fire also wont let you just burst. There seemed to be zero auto aim so much of the time was spent spraying across heads rather than headshotting. its hard to kill moving targets. Far less auto aim than BF4 and Titanlfall in comparison. You really need to stay clam and steady as enemies wont go down with one burst before you go all inaccurate. You can see there tons of options and a special eurogamer mode was created. You can recreate modes from other games pretty easily. It had stuff like kill streak rewards disabled and only search and destroy alongside zones enabled. I fought the controls alot as R2 was shoot. I kept getting mixed up. Controller was comfy and nice. Melee has a counter system no idea how it worked but you can get back at people. Lots of objects and stuff to create game types. Really looking good. The victory or lose screen also lets characters react. So the loser can stab a winner or something like that lol. This was the most consistent crazy looking game at the show imo and probably going to be my first PS4 buy. The public game customisation looks very strong. Knack: Didnt play. Looked great but not consistently like a shrek CG. The orc bits were insanely good looking. Resogun: This was superb. Has elements from Super stardust fans will love this. Particles effects etc. were crazy. I was blinded by the awesomeness of the particles effects. You get mesmerised and forget looking at your ship lol. Addictive. I had the highest score on that terminal. Controller felt good btw as you use triggers and all the buttons almost. Driveclub: Didnt play. Same Gamescom version of the scottish track. Looked nice. Same as vids. War Thunder: Didnt play looked awesome same as pc. 1080p. Warframe: Didnt play looked awesome same as pc full 1080p the works. Hokohum. Didnt play looked crazy. Missed out. Ass Creed 4: Looked nice. Actually decent looking. Not sure what i didi in the game though :p Got off early too. The indie stuff in general looked good and polished. It was the Disk release games that had roughness to them. I hope to play several games at launch. It was nice to see lots of people trying out various indie games but several were missing sadly. PS3: Castlevania 2: Gorgeous. One of the best looking games at the show. Didn't play much but fans will love this. Very impressed. Last gen stuff was great imo. Ace Combat: Looked great, Played well. Felt like i overused homing rockets but lets see how the final game is. Free to play. Hyped. Gran Turismo 6: Sandwiched between Forza 5 and Driveclub this was supposed to look terrible. It looked almost as good as both of the next gen exclusive racers. The eurogamer build also doesnt have the latest enhancements such as an improved resolution (1440 x 1080) and features. Yeah it runs at a higher res than some of the next gen games... Puppeteer: Looked good. Anyone brought this? Beyond two Souls: Another gorgeous looking game. Looked next gen almost lol. didnt play ran out of time. 360 was barely there. There were 360 controllers for Titanfall. Pc: TitanFall: I experienced titanfall. Best organised demo ever? You had headphones, seating, calibrated monitors etc. Even a 5-7 minute presentation video you had to watch in order to play and understand the game well. No other game did this. Definitely helps. In Killzone sf and BF4 the newbies were fed to the lions :p The Respawn guys were also hyping their game as the best thing ever in the queue which had everyone pumped. I will stress i liked the demo. It was a team vs team deathmatch mixed in with AI/bots. The Titanfall/mech stuff was good. Me and another guy on the team were the only ones really wall jumping using jetpacks consistently well. Some of the mechanics are a little scripted but it works well. The mechs arent actually that fast but far more powerful and take a ton of damage. Would have preferred mouse control but its clearly designed for controllers. At the end of each round instead of just finishing the losers have to escape the winners by getting to an evac ship. Whoever escapes gets a bonus. Overall I thought it was a good demo. The game itself was clearly aimed at the COD/casual crowd. You can get some easy points via killing npc/bots mixed in. It controlled like COD. A crap load of auto aim. You crosshair just glues to moving heads ala COD. Feel free to kill people in the air. Visuals were weak for next gen but it felt familiar especially movement, controls, feel and animation wise. It ran well of course since it was on PC. Graphically looked way way better than Xbone BF4 for the record. I wasn't blown away. I felt the hype was too forced on this game. There was alot of 'this is going to be the best game of all time', 'nothing as revolutionary as this game has ever been released before in the genre' and'this is the most awarded game of all time' in the queue . Upon playing it It didnt feel that way but another fork for COD style games. Will I buy? right now unlikely as I dont like COD much. Simple. NFS Rivals: Looked great. Plays similar to Most Wanted. Scenery is last gen but the cars and effects were superb mostly. Not really realism focused rain effects as in reality you wouldnt see anything lol. I accidentally missed out on the club. Possible purchase for sure. Xbone: Oddly enough the most popular games at MS's booth were Ryse and Dead Rising 3. You had to queue for each game seperately. Battlefield 4.: Played well. No complaints gameplay wise. It has some auto aim to help you. Aiming was much easier than Killzone which I think had zero auto aim in comparison. This was next door to TitanFall. I definitely enjoyed BF4 more than Titanfall and it was a crappy demo tech wise. You wait 2 hours and in the end still have to stand up. Shitty blurfest Samsung screen (a common magazine award winner TV I should mention) and quite possibly one of the worst showings for a version of a game in a long while. The Xbone version looked rough. It was running very close to 720p rather than 1080p. It was blurred. The textures were as low or lower than BF3 in the lowest settings. It's likely worse than what a 7770 can do on a PC so possibly just super early. It had some BF4 specific advantages such as higher poly counts. But damn this was ugly lol. I enjoyed it though. Good game. The technical roughness has me worried though. I could barely make out stuff compared to other next gen games. I dont want to install Windows 8 for the highest settings and I dont want shitty next gen console ports. Please help me EA I want to buy this game. But not like this. Vita: Tearaway: Was awesome. One of my show favourites. Lots of kids liked this along with afew of the indie stuff. IMO helped with the varied tone of eurgamer. Nice to see more families around. I was worried that with the Wii gone gaming might become too macho exclusive. That's certainly not the case at this years show. This is enough for now. I probably missed a few games. Sorry for any rambling. Also, almost everyone's TVs were setup FUCKING HORRIBLY! UGH! Almost none of the displays were calibrated at all, with most of them having Sharpness WAY UP (ARGH MY EYES - you should NEVER have any artificial sharpness turned on with HD content on an LCD!) - The Nintendo booth in particular had some disgustingly poorly set up TVs (they probably had sharpness on max - utterly decimating the image quality - with games like The Wonderful 101 looking far worse than on my own TV at home ). Thankfully a couple of the PS4 displays were properly set up (for Resogun), looks lovely on a decently calibrated HDTV Still, a good show overall ) Agreed. Sony had these new Sony tv's and set them up badly. Not as bad as the Samsungs EA had mind you. Monitors were the winners lol.
liger05
Didnt get to play Bayonetta 2. MK8 was disappointing. I really liked the new Mario game. Missed out playing sonic but it looks amazing!!! Titanfall was dope!! Anecdotal I know but the amount of people you see playing on a vita compared to 3DS is crazy. I saw about two people playing with a Vita while in queues but 3ds's are everywhere. Even in the PS4 queue people just walk past the vita's on display. Shorty
Batman Arkham Origins Blackgate (Vita. 3DS version was not on show): Couldn't get past the first 5 minutes as I just got bored senseless of the cutscenes, the game-basically-plays-itself traversal and the combat sections that are basically just like the console games transferred into 2D. Didn't see anything that I didn't already see in previous demo videos, so I just gave up. Not impressed with anything they've shown so far (where's the exploration and platforming that you'd expect from ex Metroid Prime leads?!) and the demo did nothing to change my mind... Man this is hugely disappointing. I was hoping for something along the lines of Shadow Complex meets Arkham Asylum. Maybe the beginning is just a bit too on-rails and makes for a poor demo? Thanks for taking the time to post all your impressions.

Yeah, I hope that the demo isn't indicative of the full game experience (it's the same demo they showed at E3, so the game has probably changed quite a bit since then). I can imagine them focusing on the cinematic parts for the sake of the demo, wanting to stop players from getting lost and making the game look "cool", but I hope the final game keeps them to a minimum, cause they're totally boring as hell to play... Puppeteer: Looked good. Anyone brought this? I did! Great game, very unique, keeps throwing new ideas at you at a constant pace and just all around great fun! Anecdotal I know but the amount of people you see playing on a vita compared to 3DS is crazy. I saw about two people playing with a Vita while in queues but 3ds's are everywhere. Even in the PS4 queue people just walk past the vita's on display. Funny I actually saw quite a few people with Vitas, especially in the PS4 queue where I actually saw more Vitas than 3DS'! (Ok that was the only place where the 3DS numbers didn't decimate the Vita ones, but still!) But yeah, nobody bothered playing the Vitas in that queue. Tearaway saw quite a lot of attention mind you though. Always a sizable queue for that one! Edited September 28, 2013 by Dcubed
Jamba
Mario Kart 8 plays almost exactly like Mario Kart Wii, just with updated graphics, the anti gravity aspect is barely noticeable. Bit disappointed. This is exactly what I expected it to be after watching the vids at E3. They need to stop trying to cock around with the core mechanics and let people play online properly, with some other interesting modes chucked in. You know... maybe look at what Sonic Transformed is doing?

Guy
Anyone know where the Link graffiti is outside Earls Court that you can show a pic of to the GAME desk? I actually found it outside West Brompton (just walk around to the other Earls Court entrance at the back and you'll see the station/graffiti across the road).
