Angry Birds Trilogy Wii + Wii U (August)

It is what it is.

Rovio is catapulting the Angry Birds Trilogy onto Wii U and Wii later this summer, with a trailer dating it for the Nintendo systems on August 13. The compendium, comprised of Angry Birds, AB Seasons, and AB Rio, plucks some extra content on Wii U and Wii, while the Wii U version is off-TV compatible and of course features touchscreen controls.

Back when publisher Activision announced the Wii U and Wii versions of the trilogy, it also revealed the mobile money-maker had proven a success on consoles, too. The Xbox 360, PS3, and 3DS versions released late last year shifted a million copies by February 2013. ~ http://www.joystiq.com/2013/06/27/angry-birds-trilogy-lands-on-wii-u-wii-in-august/

Well, it's an exclusive alright; an exclusive from a major western 3rd party even! (And not only that, but it's also one of the best "selling" game series of all time!)

...

...

Yup.

Wiimote controls could be good, and the Wii U having the choice of Wiimote or touch-screen. Pretty decent for AB fans in the control department.

That video's only been up a few days and it's had over 28,000 hits already. Must be some interest there. Reading the comments there seems to be a lot of people been waiting for this! Takes all sorts I guess.

Well, for a game which is free to play online and free to download to many smartphones/tablets/PC's moving into the charge era, i can see good things for the WiiU now.

Controls will be interesting at least, thats genuine.

Huh? It's port released a year after the 360 and PS3 versions.

Should be £5 on the store...useless release?

They show boxed SKUs at the end of the trailer. For the development time they invested in it they'll probably still be quids in even if they sell at £25 initially VS the amount of people who will buy it at that price.

The Wii U needs games. Just like everyone here probably hates Mary Kate and Ashley's Riding School, or WETF, but it's a game for an audience, isn't it.

I don't understand the mentality of pinning the Wii U's definitive fortunes on every game announcement on an individual basis.

Having a rag on this game and the Wii U is the equivalent of stealing a bag of Opal Fruits off a baby and then farting in its face then wanting to be taken seriously in a topical debate on News Night with Jeremy Paxman dressed in a Hawaiian shirt with a chocolate choc-ice ice cream stain down the front.

How do you come up with this stuff?
