mike-zim Posted January 25, 2006 Author Posted January 25, 2006 i think i have converted sony fanboys to at least open their minds. my brother had some friends round the other day so we were playing mario smash football. these two would not play it cause it was on the cube. ( i was not happy, how rediculouse???) anyway they saw how much fun we were having and decided to have a go. 2 hours later they were really enjoying it. so i put on power tennis as well they loved that as well. we also played a bit of mario party. and i showed them some pikmin. they saw for them selves the pure quality that nintendo offer. i told them bout the revolution (of which they had hardly heard about) showed them a few vids and all that and they are seriousely considering dropping sony for "FUN" nintendo. (i wasn't sure if this needed its own thread or not. should i put it in its own thread?)
Raven Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 hey. have JUST got the game. (im in aus, had to get an import one) and i think that it is tops!!! i have been through the mushroom-bowser cup on novice, and that wasnt terribly hard. but just this morning i beat mushroom cup on professional... and god this game changes in difficulty quickly!!! i DREAD to think what superbowser cup on legend difficulty is like... awesome game. cant wait for a 4p match though. sensational! this game would have been worth making 8p.
Kurtle Squad Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 Hehe....This game rocks!!...If I've got about 10 minutes before I have to be off to college I have a match. It's so cool. Getting a Perfect Pass feels so amazing compared to a boring old Super Strike. On multiplayer it ends up being more like a boxing match!!! JHAHAHA
AshMat Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 I think it's fantastic, multiplayer would be better if any of my mates had it. But the nonstop gameplay is fantastic
Adrian DX Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 cant wait for a 4p match though. sensational! this game would have been worth making 8p. Okay, try 4p and rethink 8p... 4p is INSANE!... Me and my mates play it often and I encourage everyone who hasn't got this game to get it. Even if you don't like football games (I don't! I hate them! Except for this one ). I never thought this game would be this fun and entertaining.
Raven Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Okay, try 4p and rethink 8p... 4p is INSANE!... Me and my mates play it often and I encourage everyone who hasn't got this game to get it. Even if you don't like football games (I don't! I hate them! Except for this one ). I never thought this game would be this fun and entertaining. played it on 4p. and yes, it was insane. it was me and brother (both relatively good) and a couple of people who never played it before. it became quite unlike ANY soccer match. because as soon as anyone got the ball, they would generally be smashed into the fence straight away.... man it was crazy! something you should try though. do a 3v1 game with your friends. its funny, because the person who is on their own will have quite a big advantage, seeing as they can switch between all the characters EASILY. i was on the team with 3people, and whenever i wanted to tackle the other player (brother), i could never switch to the right character! but, its probably just my inexperience...
Sonic238 Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 3on1 is quite unfair, you're right. but it works a little bit better if the teammates talk about who is getting the ball and if you assign an area for each player.
Atomic Boo Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 i have a question or two i this better than mario power tennis? i have it, love it. mainly cause of boo starring in it! is it worth me buying it if i already own tennis? i love both sports, prefer football are there any minigames? how much does it cost? (full price still?)
mike-zim Posted February 13, 2006 Author Posted February 13, 2006 i would say that it is better than tennis purely for the multiplayer. single player i would lean towards tennis but not that much. so far i havent seen any mini-games but i am not sure if that is because you have to unlock them. but i doubt it. i think it is still full price but well worth the money.
Atomic Boo Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 well i rarely get a game so i have to make wise decisions. what games would you suggest i buy on cube. any category. my full GC list: super monkey ball 1 + 2 Paper mario TTYD Worms 3D Warioware PoP TT Mario Power tennis Metroid Prime 1 + 2 MKDD SSX on tour Super smash bros Second Sight Soul Calibur 2 Super Mario Sunshine any suggestions of a gamecube game i really need apart from pikmin and zelda? im desperate for a bargain half price game or an outstanding full price
Kurtle Squad Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Well yes, you should definately get Mario Football. Resident Evil 4 you should give a go, it's cool. And if you feel like giving the older Resi games a whirl, I suggest you get Zero first, since it's not as annoying as the Remake of the origional!!
mike-zim Posted February 13, 2006 Author Posted February 13, 2006 burnout was an amazing game. you will be able to pick it up cheap now. give it a go.
Raven Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 eternal darkness : sanitys requiem. i advise ANYONE with a gamecube to get this game. its an old game, so you should be able to find it cheap somewhere.... id rate this game above mario smash football.
Hero-of-Time Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 I just picked this up today, along with the pearl Cube, and I have to say im loving it. I have my 2 nephews round and we are all playing through the cups together. Its so easy to get into and a laugh to play.
Blue_Ninja0 Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 What is it only one vs one in this game? I'd have thought you could do 2 vs 2 or something...ah man still though one vs one should be good enough! Yes, the game supports 4 players. You can play 1vs1 1vs2 2vs2 or 1vs3. The game rocks in multiplayer, it's just so addictive.
Pure Magic Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 We got this game in my house yesterday and we all thought it was awesome. Multi-player with you mates is very entertaining. It is also a totally mad game where I'm really not sure what can happen next. I was 7-1 down at a stage of a match yesterday with around a minute to go, i managed to claw my way back to a more respectable looking 7-5! What a good game and I have no idea why it took us this long to get it!
mike-zim Posted September 21, 2006 Author Posted September 21, 2006 i still play it i have had it 9 months and love it.
