You need an action replay or gameshark. Cube
I think it's pretty much the unlockable tracks with a countdown timer. Still, I wonder if the arcade had the whole of GX inside.
madeinbeats
Sure I've got the NTSC version, can't you put codes in on Free Loader?
Retro_Link
Couldn't you unlock all the arcade tracks anyway?
Mandalore
Looks like it still uses GX physics judging by the snaking. AX didn't have snaking as far as I know, it had turbo drifts instead.
Helmsly
Couldn't you unlock all the arcade tracks anyway? was going to ask this very question. It was stupidly hard but you could unlock all of the tracks from AX
Dcubed
Oh I heard about this a few weeks back. It's not the complete arcade experience unfortunately (it's missing a few animations that were unique to AX, as well as the AX exclusive attract screen and per-character endings), but the stage select screen works properly and the time-extension mechanic is working correctly - which of course is the most important part. It's the closest that we'll probably ever get to playing AX in a legal fashion. Couldn't you unlock all the arcade tracks anyway? Yes you could unlock all 6 AX tracks and all the AX characters (it was brutally difficult to do so, but it was possible!) There are also 15 custom vehicle parts that were exclusive to AX, which you could only unlock in GX via using your GCN memory card on an AX machine, but thankfully they can be unlocked via Action Replay as well Edited March 7, 2013 by Dcubed
