Now confirmed for the Wii U!

Here's all the trailers we have up to this point!

The game looks to be ups and downs (as a result of the levels they've chosen), but I still think this game is most likely to perform best on the Wii U.

Goldeneye 007 was really well recieved on the Wii, and whilst this doesn't maybe look quite as good I think a good percentage will give it a go.

Just hope it supports the Wiimote, as the controls (especially the Nunchuck lean) were amazing in Goldeneye 007! :D

I'm really excited for this game. Eurocom is a proven developer when it comes to Bond games. World is Not enough, Nightfire and Goldeneye 007 are all great games and fun Bond experiences.

I'm in for day 1 for this game on the WiiU. I agree with Retro-Link, if this launches with the Wii U it will only have Black Ops II as competition in the FPS genre (Which is also an Activison game). Whereas on the 360/PS3 there are many more FPS shooters (Such as Medal of Honor) to compete with. Probably a smart choice by Activision to port this to the Wii U

This game looks promising. I just hope it doesen't get sunk by the same problem as Goldeneye: the linear levels. But taking the key action sequences from multiple movies is a stroke of genious.

The first mention of this game sounded amazing. A plot covering multiple Bond films, celebrating 50 years of the franchise. Especially when they announced the number of films represented, and how it matched the number of Bonds.

The moment I saw that it only had Daniel Craig and it was all modernised, I lost interest. This game is wrong and shouldn't exist.

A game which is the "celebration" of the Bond "legend" should be showcasing the original films - all Bonds should be present. They could have intertwined a conspiracy across 50 years, with each person who had the codename James Bond solving a different part until it all came together. It could have been spectacular.

This just seems lazy and I'm guessing the writing will be similar to the Goldeneye reimagining, which was by far the second worst thing about the game - especially the "bankers getting their bonus" speech which caused me to burst out laughing (the first worst thing was the reload pixellating blur effect).

And then they used levels from two of the worst Bond films (OHMSS and Die Another Day). If they were going for the "multiple Bonds" I would be fine with OHMSS, but as they're not there's no reason why they have to include it.

This is one of those times where my own imagination ruins the actual game.

Because they are celebrating the 6 bonds by representing 6 levels for the 6 Bonds. That's why they are using OHMSS. Die Another Day is probably because it's the only Brosnan film that didn't get a game.

I see why some Bond fans are upset that they are using Craig but personally it doesn't bother me (And Craig is one of my least favourite Bonds). This game is obviously being made on a shoestring budget, most Bond game are.If they did buy the rights to use the likenesses of all the Bonds it probably would have ended up hurting the experience.

I'm pleased this is coming to Wii U. Hope it has remote controls as well as pad and tablet. I would defo get it, but I'll be playing COD instead. Kinda disappoints me it's all Daniel Craig, bond has had many faces and they should all be represented - I almost feel they're airbrushing the old faces out.

If they had access to the other bonds they would use them fully. They won't be there. I guess it's too expensive/problematic to do, shame. The game looks awful though, shame, my friend did loads of the mocap and voice work for it!

Yeah. I have a nagging feeling that was the ambition, as they in fact have chosen one level per Bond so to speak.

I'm hoping, but know that it wont happen: that they drop the super-linear CoD-style level design.

Goldfinger Announced

Even looks like COD that level! :p

So that's it then, a game from each of the Bonds and just awaiting the SkyFall DLC.

Hopefully there will be other DLC movies aswell, but I guess that's quite a lot of work!

Yeah it would be great if they had DLC for some other notable movies, Tomorrow Never Dies never got a proper game (Was a third person shooter).

I can't wait, Eurocom always does an excellent job.

I've got that.

Proper hard as nails, it was.

Rubbish too.

Ooooooh you might not want to get this with the Wii U.

Game Informer - 4/10 - http://www.gameinformer.com/games/007_legends/b/xbox360/archive/2012/10/16/007-legends-review.aspx

It’s a bad game when it’s working, but there are plenty of moments that make you wonder how it even got cleared for release. Enemy AI frequently freaks out, causing soldiers to endlessly sprint against walls (often firing their guns at the ground). At one point, the framerate dropped to unplayable levels, except it wasn’t during a firefight – I was just walking around. The visuals are cheap, with doorknobs drawn onto textures like this was a Nintendo 64 game. As I entered one room, enemies materialized out of thin air and dropped to the ground in front of me. These troubles carry over to its simple multiplayer mode, which features lag, terrible character animations, and an upgrade system that can’t even clear the “poor man’s Call of Duty” bar.

IGN - 4.5/10 - http://uk.ign.com/articles/2012/10/16/007-legends-review

Last year Eurocom delivered GoldenEye: Reloaded, an HD remake which was arguably the best James Bond game since well, the original GoldenEye 64. Unfortunately the developer hasn't been able to maintain that trajectory with 007 Legends; an abhorrent 'tribute' to the history of the British super spy that doesn't just take liberties - it takes the piss. At a time when early reports suggest the celluloid Bond is reaching a new high with Skyfall, it's a shame that his video game counterpart has reached his digital downfall. If you're really dying for a Call of Duty-style shooter experience, then sit tight as Black Ops II has likely got more money than God behind it and it's only a month away.

Well that's a bit of a shame. Was kinda looking forward to more Goldeneye 007 style action (provided you could use the Wiimote to play this game).

Still, one less game I need to think about buying.

Oh dear...

I thought it fairly odd that since this game had been announced, I hadn't come across a single "hands-on" preview of it. Clearly it wasn't ready then and it still isn't ready now... even if that isn't stopping them shipping it.

GoldenEye was damn fine game so it's a shame to see Eurocom ruin all the goodwill they've built up off of the back of that last title. All they needed to do was make sure the enemies didn't disappear when killed and give you a way to move them out of sight. Then knock up a few levels and away you go.

You really do wonder how studios can get it so wrong sometimes.

Well deadlines do have strange effects on things but the comments in the reviews make it sound like this a genuine step back from GoldenEye. It's one thing to say a game hasn't progressed with its sequel, or addressed its major issues, but it's another to say its gotten notably worse.

BUT IT LOOKED SO GOOD.

You say that like it looked terrible?

The choice of films was somewhat questionable but they allow for some set pieces that make for big explosions - which helps to make the trailer look fast paced and action packed. Stealth is all well and good but it's doesn't always translate too well to a trailer as it's difficult to appreciate the enemy AI when you can't interact with it. I was under the impression that they had that side of things under control because GoldenEye laid a solid foundatoin to build upon. It's absence from trailers didn't batter an eyelid.

Knowing that they'd delivered the goods in the past carried more weight than any trailer possibly could becuse I have categorical proof that that they have the technical ability to make a great game. That's why it's disappointing. Ultimately the trailers had no influence on my expectations of the game and I wouldn't be surprised if others felt the same way.

I still don't think the trailers looked bad though - they just looked generic and if it weren't for the bond theme, they wouldn't be particularly rememberable.

This game might be better on Wii U don't judge a game buy the other console versions

Sadly I don't think this game will be any better on the Wii U. It's not set up like a bond game - it's very much a sub-standard COD game and the core experience isn't going to change.

I always worry about games when I don't see any hands-on previews during the run up to release.

I put all the blame on Activision. It seems that they made Eurocom CoDifie Goldeneye Reloaded compared to the Wii version and now releasing this which seems like a half baked CoD rip off. I feel very sorry for Eurocom. They are truly a decent developer.

I was going to get the Wii U version (I've been buying 007 games blindly since Goldeneye 64) but i'll probably wait now until this hits the bargain bins.
