Ellmeister Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 So today's glorified friendly. I'm going with a City win, 2-0. Any predictions? Well you're wrong! Lovely dink by Torres and now Ivanoic been sent off!
Ramar Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 Well you're wrong! Lovely dink by Torres and now Ivanoic been sent off! Little closer now.
Ramar Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 I've got the score difference right, so far. :awesome:
Ellmeister Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 Bertrand scores a goal and doesn't even get to celebrate it! City deserved to win, but they were always going to once we went a man down.
Emerald Emblem Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 Arsenal breezed past FC Koln this evening. 0-4 to the Gunners, Vermaelen, Podolski(2) and Gervinho with the goals. Cazorla looked really good, pinging it round with first time passes finding some good killer balls, really positive effect he had. Shame that Giroud didn't score, he could have had a hat trick. The CDM's Coquelin and Song didn't look that great though, best get those sorts of displays out of your head sharpish. Van Persie came on as a second half sub and took the captains armband, take that how you will.
James Posted August 12, 2012 Posted August 12, 2012 Watched Liverpool's past two games and you can really see a difference in the team and then when Kenny was in charge, lot's of quick nice passing, actually looking forward to the start next week.

Dog-amoto Posted August 13, 2012 Author Posted August 13, 2012 Haha, I didn't really see how he did at Bolton. Was he as bad for you as he was for us? 3 goals in 33 games. He may do a better job in the Championship, but we should still snatch Fulham's hand off.
MadDog Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 3 goals in 33 games. He may do a better job in the Championship, but we should still snatch Fulham's hand off. Wow. £3mil would be a good deal for you.
Mokong Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 Shay Given has announced he will retire from International Football As an Irish fan kinda mixed, he's been a great servant between the sticks and has pulled off some great performances that saved our bacon many times. But he is getting older and as seen at Euro 2012, maybe it is time to let someone else have a shot at putting on the gloves
Fierce_LiNk Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Shay's quitting at the right time. Time for Ireland to start again/plan for the future. Anyone else following the Sunderland/Wolves saga over Steven Fletcher? Sunderland offered 12 million, which Wolves turned down as they want 15 for him. As good as Fletcher is, a similar price could have got you Podolski, Kagawa, Cazorla, or Borini. (not taking into account wages, of course) Bit mad really.
MadDog Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 I've no idea how you got Kagawa for that much, he's going to be brilliant. Was he in his last year or something?
flameboy Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 Well Portsmouth losing 1-0 to Plymouth in League Cup hardly surprising seem as all the wrangling means we can't sign any players yet so we have a squad of 14 teenagers as that's all we have at the club.

You still beat us 3-0 in a pre season friendly, and we were at full strength.

To be fair, when you've got no money and owe as much as Pompey do. Buying new players is hardly a clever idea. Derby 5 - 5 Scunthorpe wowzer.

We are set to come out of adminstration and we our new owner Chanrai has money... only problem is he is a reluctant owner and wants investments he has made back...I hardly think playing the youth team every week and crazing and burning is the solution....
