welsh_gamer Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 You still have to pay £15.90 for the complete package, if you grab the DLC while it's on offer. I'd rather pick up the retail game when it drops to around £10, less hassle, plus can sell it on when I'm finished. I did try downloading it earlier, but it was SO slow, so I cancelled it.
daftada Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 Bought this on Monday, wish I'd waited a day!
Josh64 Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 My Kong Mode looks really fun. Gonna get it seeing as it's only 1.50, shall be good for the usual multiplayer Thursdays at my friends house!
Londragon Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 It's the story mode where it's at though. In the story mode you're going to have all the fun unlocking the various tanks, playing over 30 levels repeatedly to level up each tank, getting medals for completion of levels with each tank, and generally blowing the crap out of big monsters. My Kong mode is a wonderful addition when there's 4 of you having a laugh.
Mokong Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 So what is the deal with the "Free" download on the eShop? Is it like a demo and you can play a little bit of each mode or something and then buy the full versions later (like the way Zen Pinball 2 is)
Murr Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 Well downloaded this today, can't complain for free really, Shame I though I'd get a go at the single player, but then it got to the point where It informed me I needed to download it. However the multi player modes that are unlocked are pretty fun even with 'bots' Probably wouldn't play it more than 3 times a night anyways, so yeah... not bad at all.
Phube Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 Is it me being stupid; but can you aim you reticule? Because only the D-pad and A seem to do anything?
Londragon Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Is it me being stupid; but can you aim you reticule? Because only the D-pad and A seem to do anything? No, no aim in the vertical sense of the word. It really is an arcade conversion with the simplest control scheme ever. D-Pad or Analogue Stick to move and any button to shoot, that's it (auto aim for verticality). On other note, the Wii U Pro Controller is lovely playing this, the analogue stick feels so good.
Kaepora_Gaebora Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 This is quite a fun little game, downloaded the missions pack for £7.99, well worth a look! Online would have been the icing on the cake but for the price, I mustn't grumble.
Hero-of-Time Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 Bargain at this price. £12.85 Highly recommend those on the fence giving it a try.
Londragon Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 Bargain at this price. £12.85 Highly recommend those on the fence giving it a try. True, picked this up at launch, and am still playing it to this day, and, also, am very far off of completing the Campaign mode, unlocking all the Tanks, etc. Awesome buy!
