darksnowman Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 Wait a sec. Wasn't Strange Journey SMT4? Err... in all but name, obviously! Can't wait for the PAL release of SMT 4.
Hero-of-Time Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 The big news from this story is that Killer Kirby is back from the dead!
Hero-of-Time Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 I really only care about Persona. I never got into those games. I tried playing Persona 4 a while back but it took an ice age to get going and I lost interest.
Magnus Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 Well, I'm sure Persona 5 will have achievements/trophies, so you'll probably 100% that one. :p
Hero-of-Time Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 Well, I'm sure Persona 5 will have achievements/trophies, so you'll probably 100% that one. :p Nah, I have to REALLY enjoy a JRPG to get all the achievements on them. Most of them make you pick up every single item or open every chest, such as Blue Dragon & Lost Odyssey. While others make you play through them more than once like Eternal Sonata & Tales of Vesperia. I know i'm not a fan of Persona so I won't touch it...unless I get 1000/1000 just for pressing start, then it's all good.
darksnowman Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 I never got into those games. I tried playing Persona 4 a while back but it took an ice age to get going and I lost interest. I played some Persona 3 once and quite liked it. Though it was only the opening sections so not much action took place, it seemed really good and I liked the atmosphere. I keep wishing they would port the PSP version to the 3DS as I would really like to get into the Persona series. Or I could just buy cheap PS2 games. :p
-Dem0- Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 Some great news even though I haven't played a game in the series. But I've been following the SMT games. My question is when are we going to be seeing overclocked for the 3DS over here?
-Dem0- Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Few details: - team has hit their stride with development - working on improving the 3D depth of the world - feeling of surviving and wandering in a chaotic world has been improved 200% Website: http://megaten4.jp/

Dante Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 (edited) Scans: -"This game retains all the hallmarks of the series, from the immoral, corrupt world view to negotiating with and combining demons together," commented director Kazuyuki Yamai. "It's something that we hope is approachable to all walks of gamer, from longtime series fans to people thinking about using this as their opportunity to join in. It's a really large-scale RPG project, something that goes far beyond the standard for a portable system. It amazes me how much we've stuffed in here, and I can't thank my team enough for all the work they've put in. I'm sorry that you'll have to wait a bit for the game to come out, but I hope you'll be patient!" Odd thing in the magazine is a screenshot saying "Year 1492 of the Gregorian Calender", which neogaf users think is some kind of parallel world shenanigans occurring. -Dem0- Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 Demon fusion has been made easier in SMT: IV - recommended fusion option to show which demons you can make - now you won’t need to cancel out of a dozen fusions just to figure out which demons you can make - still free to fuse demons on your own - includes a demon compendium which lets you search by skills, race, or the name of the demon. - pay macca to get a demon back with the abilities saved in the compendium Awesome news. http://www.siliconera.com/2013/03/08/shin-megami-tensei-iv-makes-demon-fusing-easier-by-recommending-fusions-for-you/
Magnus Posted March 9, 2013 Posted March 9, 2013 Sounds like every other recent MegaTen game. Now if they'd just let you choose exactly which skills to carry over, that'd be great.
Magnus Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 I hope the announcement of a PAL release for this means we won't have to wait too long after the US release to get it. Now, not to sound greedy or anything, but I'm still waiting for a Soul Hackers announcement, Nintendo. :p
Magnus Posted May 21, 2013 Posted May 21, 2013 There's a good post about the game on NeoGAF. No more moon phases! The game doesn't end when the main character dies! It's like they're tailoring the game specifically to me.
