my best holiday was in Austria in winter when it was snowing at its best. Ive been there twice and i love the way you can just go up a mountain and ski down how you like without any hassle. Also, its just great that on some mountains they have small cafes you can ride in halfway down the mountain if you want to. The hot chocolate there is the best ive ever tasted.

ive been to cyprus about 2 billion times, france 7, and italy once, wanna go to spain

Whats been your best holiday? i have a fair guess that most of you love america most, but i havent been there yet

I've only been abroad 3 times, plane twice.

France, fuertaventure and tenerife.

I'd have to say tenerife because it's the one i remember the most. Despite constant arguments with my mum's, boyfriend's daughter (being demanding trying to tell me what to do etc) iot was a great holiday.

The beaches were incredible,t here was this incredible ice-cream place in Los Christianos that we went to every day, sometimes twice because it was so delicious, it was always packed, the scenery is actually quite something aswell, even when you're jsut driving round tenerife the many banana fields are actually a cool sight.

But the best sight has to be Mt Teidi, and the cliffside roads around it, where it looks

like you'll go off the edge, are suprisingly great.

I ahven't been to america either, but im planning on new york this coming year

I've been abroad many, many times. I used to go to Israel once maybe twice a year 'cos my dad comes from there, and my fave time there was this year, when we went to this restaurant by a river, and i got a whole big bowl of freshly made nacho's with Swet Chili Sauce, they wee gone before the main starters arrived, and it was yummy yummy yummy. Other places i been are Turkey, Spain, Portugal (got Salmonella ¬_¬), Ireland, Wales, Jordan, and France

I never went far away on holidays. I was once to Germany but I thought it was pretty boring, my favorite is Italy. I like the comfortable warmth (even in summer), the food (italian ice cream) and the atmosphere - they are so uncomplicated.

My best holiday was when I went to Florida, always wanted to go there, and it was amazing.

Second best would be this year when I went to Disneyland Paris with a load of friends, hilarious time.

I think my favourite holiday was a hiking/camping holiday in the Lake District (I'm a bit of a nerd that way). I don't really enjoy going to foreign places aside from the nice weather as I generally don't care about other people's culture, buildings, history or aything like that. There's so much of the UK I've not seen yet either.

Ive been abroad once (in April) to rome and naples...sorry to all of you who like that kind of thing but i thought it was a dump. Only thing that was good was the free ice-cream i won!

I go to Cornwall every year camping, and thats the way i like it.....Ive been to the isles of scilley and jersey (To over rated) but there all great. When im old enough im going to move down that way, because im not staying around this crappy place for ever. I'll always remember the smugglers den inn, we always go there atleast once each visit. :)

One of my best holiday's was when i went to Magaluf. There were 11 of us altogether who went. Was most awesome.

I also enjoyed my leeds festival trip. What more could you want? Good music, lots of beer and indie chicks. My kinda trip.

Im going to New York in March which will be amazing as ive never been to America and always wanted to go to New York.

My best has been to New York, even if it did end up costing me about £2000 for everything (did a lot of shopping). I really wanna go back but can't afford it. I loved the atmosphere and the easier (and cheaper) way of life. Hailing a taxi rather then calling up and waiting ten minutes is much better and easier.

Oh and Platty if you get a chance head to "Rocks In Your Head" on Prince Street, SoHo. Think 16th is the nearest station but don't quote me on that. Was such a cool indie record store, went in there to buy one album and ended up spending about £100 -a lot of it on friends. The guy who helped me was really useful and cool. I wanna go back just to go to that store, although he said they may close soon which is a real shame. Was the first (out of two) indie stores that I found in NY and it was much better than the huuuuuuuge Virgin Megastore in Time Square. Scratch the "I suggest", go there Platty :P

i'm glad someone managed to pick up some indie chicks there.

I got NO female action while i was there. I was hoping for a girl to be there and we could jsust go into a group of tents where no one could see us and make out

Worth it for the music though, Iron Maiden were the best all weekend

I add Leed Fest '05 to my list

I've never been abroad but my first trip to Devon was a memorable vacation. We stayed in a quaint little outhouse that belonged to a near-by hotel (in the past, we had either owned a caravan or rented one), which was really quite luxurious when compared to what we were used to. There was a breakfast bar with stools, and long, spacious corridors (The outhouse itself had two floors, but it was one family per floor - which wasn't a problem at all, in fact, the other family live just down the street). I was intoxicated by mountain bike culture at this time, which must be six or so years ago now, and I spent the September days reading torn back-issues of MBK and dreaming of having the guts to ride my bike with any measure of verve. There were plenty of activities on offer, mind, tennis and golf and swimming - and the beach. The beach was lovely.

(This would be the first and only vacation taken during the school term. I was particularly chirpy about this circumstance.)

A low point would have to be one particular night about halfway through the break, when we lost the crabs that we had brought back from the rock-pools (entombed in plastic buckets, of course). I was convinced that they were intending to mount my double bed and feast on my liver.

(We never found them.)
