drahkon Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 I have come back to reality after listening to Lateralus and floating through time, space and my mind. The first time I came in contact with Tool was with Schism. It was 10 years ago (I was 11). It was when I started really appreciating music. I have never seen Tool live but I intend to do so, when they come to Germany again some time. They are working on a new album as it seems and I'm so looking forward to it. Their music is not for everyone as the songs are often very long and sometimes pretty 'different' (Die Eier Von Satan springs to mind. Or (-) Ions). Who's a fan? Black then white are all I see in my infancy. Red and yellow then came to be, reaching out to me.
Paj! Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 I have 2-3 of their songs of never recall ever hearing them. The guy's besties with Tori Amos. Like Trent Reznor is/was/I think they fucked once.
Coolness Bears Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 This takes me back to being 16. I liked Prison Sex.
Nolan Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 The guy's besties with Tori Amos. Like Trent Reznor is/was/I think they fucked once. Also of note was a collaboration between Maynard and Reznor called Tapeworm. Nothing really came of it except I think a few songs made it out with A Perfect Circle
Pit-Jr Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 I celebrate their entire catalogue. They're amazing really, even though Maynard fully admits alot of his lyrics are BS with no deep meaning behind them. So many amazing songs though!
Shorty Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 You listened to Tool when you were 11?? I think I was listening to Spice Girls when I was 11.
Nolan Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 You listened to Tool when you were 11?? I think I was listening to Spice Girls when I was 11. ....you are so lame.
Wesley Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 I didn't listen to any music at 11... it wasn't until around 13/14. I hated music at an earlier age.
