Yeah, I figure it's pretty much over already. Seven people left I think, probably three mafia. So one more night and I guess it's over and the mafia has won.

(also sorry, I couldn't properly get on N-E for ages)

I've been busy too with work and my cousin being over from FL, but shocked to see such little activity. Do we still have nothing else to go on?

Posted

Well I hadn't been able to post properly because N-E kept dying on me. But yes, seems we have nothing at all to go on. Half of you are mafia, I just don't know who.

Vote: The Peeps

Since I know nothing about you in this game and I'm bored. =P

Right, this felt like the opposite of my mafia. The town didn't really stand much of a chance.

They could have, if they had played the game. It felt as though everyone was waiting for someone else to do the thinking and detective work so that they didn't have to.

I mean, *no one* questioned Diageo the whole game, when his roleclaim was the worst thing I've ever read in mafia.

You fucking dickbags. I was on your side!

Tbh, I had a much better plan for this game, I wanted to character investigate the mafia and back them up if they made false roleclaims, but unfortunately the redirector threw me, and nobody was roleclaiming. It was a bit of a weak game because, as mentioned, people seemed scared to do much. I didn't want to come forward with my investigative power too soon though, for fear of dying. Little good it did me though :(

We're used to having info to go by. It's not surprising that people didn't want to act on hunches and vague leads, because that is usually a bad strategy.

I'm not saying this is bad, by the way. This type of game is certainly more interesting, but I think it takes a bit for people to get into that style of play.

I prefer these types of games to the ones with write-ups. I was gutted at being killed second night. Then even more pissed at being killed again.

I think I could have survived until the end of the game, even if nobody believed my roleclaim (did anyone think it was plausible?), due to the amount of inactives.

I think the point about roleclaims being believable is that we've seen a lot of unusual and creative roles. This type of game relies more on predictability than the other type. The more unpredictable the roles, the harder it is for the town to figure out lies.
