danny
I didnt really know where to put this random request so here seems as good a anywhere. Does anyone know of an equation to allow me to turn time in to a deciaml. Ie 15 mins = 0.25. But i need to be able to work out say 23 mins to a decimal. Just trying to find the fastest possible way to do it.

Ashley
Yeah what Moogle said. Just [Required time] / 60.

Raining_again
Divide by 6 then divide by 10. 30 minutes /10 = 3 /6 = 0.

danny
Never looked to the right hand side of the screen? No. So I will thank you as well lol. Ive just done a few of those sums using that method and its loads easier. Not second nature but if i smash them every night for a couple of months i should hopefully be able to do them in my head eventually. Hopefully. Raining_again
Its like being back at school and trying to remember times tables!! >_< How easily it falls out of your brain if you don't practice it!

If you ever need any help or advice with maths-related stuff, there's more than enough mathsy people around here, myself included (I'm a civil engineering student), and at least one teacher! Raining_again
The point of this thread wasn't for some smart-arse to show off... I find that kind of person is the worst kind of person to actually explain something in a simple manner. (for us mere mortals)
Dannyboy-the-Dane
I actually didn't feel it was show-off-y, more like: "If you need help, there's lots of help to get here, so don't be afraid of asking."
