chairdriver Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 I never really liked Bloc Party. Saw them live, enjoyed but was unimpressed. Digifucker everytime. Fight Like Apes are painfully under-rated. (That Youtube video adds so much BTW).
Paj! Posted December 9, 2009 Author Posted December 9, 2009 Fight Like Apes. Bloc Party was fine and nice, but I didn't like how it was balanced.
Ashley Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 (edited) Digiface (yeah Digifucker, but I prefer 'Digiface') was okay when they weren't singing...but yeah Bloc Party all the way. Out of interest. Chair and Paj, do you ever disagree? I know that sounds snidey and I don't mean it to be, just wondering what things you disagree on. Chalk it up to weird curiosity. Fierce_LiNk Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 Check the rate your last film thread, Ashmon. The last posts. Clear disagreement. That Fight Like Apes song is pretty nice. Although, I think I was much more of a fan of the music itself rather than the singing. It would've worked nicely as an instrumental for me, heh. Bloc Party all the way. My favourite song by them, and it means very much to me.
chairdriver Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 People should check out Fight Like Apes' album. Probably one of my faves from 2008. AND DID YOU FUCK HER!? AND DID YOU STICK THINGS UP HER!? AND DID SHE LOVE IT!?

Mundi Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 Digifucker because I liked it more then that other song
Eenuh Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 Haha, that's a class lyric. What song is that from? Did you even pay attention to what you listened to in this thread?
Fierce_LiNk Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 (edited) Oooo. I didn't hear those words in that. I heard "And Digifucker. Then I didn't get the next bit. (I couldn't make out what she was saying) Then "and did you love her." I feel embarrassed. Gah, the more I listen to this, the more the lyrics sound obvious. I need to clean mein ears. I know that sounds snidey and I don't mean it to be, just wondering what things you disagree on. Chalk it up to weird curiosity. What Flink said. People just see what they want to see, and ignore that half the time we disagree (mostly on films). (And Dido.)
chairdriver Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 (edited) (And Dido.) If she didn't have the chart success with Thank You (probably one of her least-good songs), you'd have a different pre-opinion (prejudice?) about her, since some of her music stuns. dan-likes-trees Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 Both good, FLA let down by the vocals as people have said. The end of So Here We Are is utter uphoria. Pity it's shit live but what can ya do eh. Silent Alarm = utterly sublime
Ashley Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 What Flink said. People just see what they want to see, and ignore that half the time we disagree (mostly on films). (And Dido.) I know ^_^ / I knew there would be differences, but none sprang to my sieve like brain. Thanks. Satisfied my perhaps overactive curiosity.

I don't think I have any prejudice against her...I just strangely can't be arsed listening after a certain point. I remember liking one album track. Honestly OK. I was blown by it. I'll listen to No Angel the WHOLE way through tonight okay? And give you my opinions.
Ashley Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 Personally whenever I think of Dido I just think of... That is all. I'll be on my way.
Paj! Posted December 11, 2009 Author Posted December 11, 2009 Personally whenever I think of Dido I just think of... That is all. I'll be on my way. I saw that Scrubs the other night. I loved. Though I hated how the track playing wasn't from the Dido album he bought (or something like that. It annoyed me. :p).
Ashley Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 *Checks* So it wasn't...maybe they had a Dido bender that night? I'm glad it was played briefly anyway, prefer the Jet track. I still feel the need to say mm tingly whenever I drink champagne. Anyway back to Warz...?
