Just completed the campaign on Normal, done the first two missions on heroic but it was taking too long. Fun game, not sure if I liked the story that much, in typical Bungie/Halo fashion the story is so fast paced and short I just don't take it all in.

I'm thinking of replaying the whole series in order, but I think multiplayer might get in the way.

My copy of the game reached me today (terrible pun intended. Sorry. :heh:) I started the campaign and it seemed a tad slow and dull at first. I'm now at the start of mission three, and I think it's great! Not tried multiplayer yet, as I want to complete the campaign first, but I'll be on soon. Can't wait! ^^

You aren't kidding about Legendary difficulty, its like playing one of the old CoDs on Veteran, except no stupid respawning enemies. :)

Seeing as I had to redo the spaceship level I decided to do it on Legendary to save me some time later. It took me nearly 3 hours just to do that one level. I kept getting stuck in places where it was just me versus 4-5 elites in a very small space. The fighting in space took a few goes aswell, due to the enemy ships dropping my shields stupidly fast. At least its done though.

I had a few games online this morning and managed to do all of the daily challenges for today. I also had a great time on Invasion. At first I didn't have a clue what to do but then everything clicked and away I went. :D

Just done the space battle bit. Everything up to that point on Heroic had been pretty easy going but this took the biscuit. Think I took an hour or so just to get to the docking bit on the UNSC station because I was getting shot to shreds from out of nowhere really. Kept ripping through my shields. That and presumably because I changed the control scheme to put melee on the B button, the trick button for the ship was on LB and seemed to have problems detecting my presses. ::shrug: Still awesome fun though.

Still haven't touched the multiplayer yet. Going to wait until I've finished the campaign tomorrow (only able to play it in short bursts at the moment).

Just done levels 4, 5 and 6 on Legendary. 4 and 5 weren't too bad, yeah they were hard but nothing incredible. 6, however, was just unreal. I think it's the hardest level of anything I've ever completed. That end section just keeps going. Bah. It had better not get (much) harder than that.

Just completed the campaign. Heroic was...pretty easy. Having said that, if it was a lot harder the challenge/stress ratio would have been too annoying for a first run through.

I loved the overarching story but it too itself way too seriously. I thought Noble Team sucked, for the most part. Stupid characters apart from the leader and 6. I thought it should have focus more on 6's entry into the team.

I might be on later but probably doing Firefight. Tomorrow I will be Matchmaking for sure.

Yeah, level six is a nightmare, especially when you invade the covenant ship.

I did another level this morning on Legendary that took a while. Im sure my AI Spartan disappeared halfway through the level as I couldn't find him anywhere, which made things even more difficult. I've just got 4 levels left...

I spent around 2 hours last night trying to get that stupid survive a fall by assasinating an elite achievement. The thing just wouldn't register, even though I did stopped running straight after the jump. Ah well, least its done now.

Methinks I will pop on multiplayer for a bit before all of the yanks storm the servers. :D

I think the slight problem with the story is that after a fairly concise intro it kind of meanders in to little disconnected sequences that don't feel connected enough. It tightens back up once you get back from orbit though and the last few levels are absolutely awesome.

Just finished the game on Heroic. That last level on that difficulty really showcased how well done the enemy AI is. Can't say the same for the friendlies though, as one buggered off in a Ghost leaving me to do everything else.

Ending was a nice return to form for the story. Had been sandbagging a little in the run up to that part. Even the bit with Kat dying felt flat, mainly because you could see something was going to happen at that point.

Trying to survive was a very nice touch to end on. Just brought everything together nicely. We all knew how the game was going to end but the survival bit just brought together the futility of all of the events in the game and how little difference they made in stopping the Covenant. I would have thought there would have been a mention of Master Chief at some point during the ending though.

Anyway, very enjoyable game. Some horrible frame rate issues though. I presume others experienced these sometimes choppy moments even when there was nothing on screen other than your character and the scenery. Will go back and mop up a few of the lesser campaign achievements before heading online and tackling the inevitable Legendary run through.

Havefinally had the time to sink hours of play in to this today and it's just brilliant. Better than anticipated, which is nice. Had some really good fun games with Dan Dare and Daft earlier, and had some epic moments (speaking of which Dan, did you put that tank riding clip on file share?)

Favourite moment of today was getting a Skullamanjaro, which is now on my File Share. Check eet out. :D
