To put this in perspective, Platinum was £34.99 in GAME when it was released last year. Walk with me: Do you know your walking routine? was also £50, and featured substantially less content (though the pedometer was arguably more advanced tech).

Serebii, do you know if the cartridges are coloured gold and silver? Due to the infra-red receptors, the Walk with me cart was black, I wondered if Nintendo would take advantage of this to do specially-coloured carts...

safeguard told me put this on here becuse he cant do it becuse he says he is not activated to post on this forum

"After the release of Platinum last year, paying more than I should of for any release date DS game, I investigated why I paid more, waited more, just to have less content in an additional 4 languages than I'd require.

I contacted PEGI, regarding their ratings system for games with which they responded with an attached copy of their game survey.

A game will instantly become 12+ if a game has progression/extra's/encouragement for gambling. Scratch Cards were exempt from this as you did not buy them with your cash facing a loss of your cash. You bought them with earned points you could do many things with and not seen as a currency.

Game Corner has a problem of the coins required. You could find coins, but the game was seen to encourage the purchasing of these coins which had a fixed value against the main currency, unlike BP.

Although you cannot transfer casino coins back into the main game currency so you could argue that it is not gambling. The main problem boils down to the fact rating systems like ESRB and PEGI rate the game on a single player basis rather than content that can be achieved through multiplayer. So Platinum had a TM I believe could only be earned through the game corner, I cannot recall this TM.

So Serebii's earlier comments are rather suspicious to me. I'm saving my cash to be honest, I'l save £14 looking at Play.com's price, but i'l at least save £4 if any lower prices appear. Get it a week early, and possibly have the game corner which I was cheated out of in Platinum."

You got the TM for explosion from the game corner. Serebii says the US and EU games are the same so either it's back in, Nintendo have changed the system for the English versions or it's been removed from both versions.

Also, I checked HMV and they are selling the game for £35 each.

Are they selling it with a Limited Tin?

No mention of any pre-order bonuses yet, probably won't know until February/March.

Would they bring out a Pokemon DSi Bundle?

It's possible but I highly doubt it.

They can sell them separately and make just as much money so unless they decide to slap a print of Ho-Oh or Lugia on the front of one to try and flog a few more (and they didn't bother in Japan), I can't see it happening myself.

How come most people seem to go for Gold over Silver? I prefered Silver myself, but strangely I always seem to prefer the opposite version to what most people buy, not out of any reason I just do.

I was probably the only person out of my friends who was angry that the game corner was removed from our version. They just said to me," you don't even go there much in it", it's not the point, why should we miss out on stuff other people are getting? :P

I think this is unlikely.

Nintendo already have a pink DSi getting released for Valentines day week to tie in with the fashion game released November last year.

There is also two DSi XL colours getting released to tie in with Picross 3D as well.

Edit, I'm getting Gold, and won't be importing this time.

Now that my Pokédex is complete, for the first time, I'm not really bothered which of the two I get. I suppose it will still all come down to whether I want a second Lugia or Ho-oh..
