Serebii Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 I think thats just Play being retarded In the US and Japan, the PokéWalker was included at no added cost
Happenstance Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Whats everyone going for then, gold or silver?
Tellyn Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 (edited) To put this in perspective, Platinum was £34.99 in GAME when it was released last year. Walk with me: Do you know your walking routine? was also £50, and featured substantially less content (though the pedometer was arguably more advanced tech). Serebii, do you know if the cartridges are coloured gold and silver? Due to the infra-red receptors, the Walk with me cart was black, I wondered if Nintendo would take advantage of this to do specially-coloured carts... Edited January 13, 2010 by Tellyn

ReZourceman Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Whats everyone going for then, gold or silver? If I was only getting one I'd have gotten Gold, but I'm a whore. Hope we get the figures. They're so gorgeous.

Serebii Posted January 14, 2010 Posted January 14, 2010 How long have you lived in Britain? Point taken :p
Ike Posted January 14, 2010 Posted January 14, 2010 Whats everyone going for then, gold or silver? Gold. Possibly both if we get the same preorder figures as Japan.
canand Posted January 14, 2010 Posted January 14, 2010 safeguard told me put this on here becuse he cant do it becuse he says he is not activated to post on this forum "After the release of Platinum last year, paying more than I should of for any release date DS game, I investigated why I paid more, waited more, just to have less content in an additional 4 languages than I'd require. I contacted PEGI, regarding their ratings system for games with which they responded with an attached copy of their game survey. A game will instantly become 12+ if a game has progression/extra's/encouragement for gambling. Scratch Cards were exempt from this as you did not buy them with your cash facing a loss of your cash. You bought them with earned points you could do many things with and not seen as a currency. Game Corner has a problem of the coins required. You could find coins, but the game was seen to encourage the purchasing of these coins which had a fixed value against the main currency, unlike BP. Although you cannot transfer casino coins back into the main game currency so you could argue that it is not gambling. The main problem boils down to the fact rating systems like ESRB and PEGI rate the game on a single player basis rather than content that can be achieved through multiplayer. So Platinum had a TM I believe could only be earned through the game corner, I cannot recall this TM. So Serebii's earlier comments are rather suspicious to me. I'm saving my cash to be honest, I'l save £14 looking at Play.com's price, but i'l at least save £4 if any lower prices appear. Get it a week early, and possibly have the game corner which I was cheated out of in Platinum."

Serebii says the US and EU games are the same so either it's back in, Nintendo have changed the system for the English versions or it's been removed from both versions. Also, I checked HMV and they are selling the game for £35 each.

Ike Posted January 14, 2010 Posted January 14, 2010 Are they selling it with a Limited Tin? No mention of any pre-order bonuses yet, probably won't know until February/March.
Guest Captain Falcon Posted January 14, 2010 Posted January 14, 2010 Would they bring out a Pokemon DSi Bundle? It's possible but I highly doubt it. They can sell them separately and make just as much money so unless they decide to slap a print of Ho-Oh or Lugia on the front of one to try and flog a few more (and they didn't bother in Japan), I can't see it happening myself.
Stewilo2005 Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 How come most people seem to go for Gold over Silver? I prefered Silver myself, but strangely I always seem to prefer the opposite version to what most people buy, not out of any reason I just do. I was probably the only person out of my friends who was angry that the game corner was removed from our version. They just said to me," you don't even go there much in it", it's not the point, why should we miss out on stuff other people are getting? :P
Stewilo2005 Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 RedGold Ruby Diamond TBH. The exact opposite of the ones I got xD
Gentleben Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 Would they bring out a Pokemon DSi Bundle? I think this is unlikely. Nintendo already have a pink DSi getting released for Valentines day week to tie in with the fashion game released November last year. There is also two DSi XL colours getting released to tie in with Picross 3D as well. Edit, I'm getting Gold, and won't be importing this time.
Eddage Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 Are Lugia and Ho-oh both available in each game? If not then I'll be getting Silver, Lugia pisses all over Ho-oh!
Mike Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Now that my Pokédex is complete, for the first time, I'm not really bothered which of the two I get. I suppose it will still all come down to whether I want a second Lugia or Ho-oh..
FireMeowth Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Both Lugia and Ho-Oh are available in both games, as they were in the originals.
Serebii Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 The question really is, do you want Groudon or Kyogre :P http://www.serebii.net/heartgoldsoulsilver/exclusives.shtml
Ashley Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Damn it I want Growlithe and Vulpix! Maybe I need friends...
Happenstance Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Looking at that list I think i'll be getting Gold
Mike Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 To be honest, as I often get review copies sent, I probably won't have any choice in which one I get.
