The Lillster Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 That's a nice little touch, too. Posting links to deals about where to buy these games cheaply. What other games can you think of, folks? can this disscussion include VC games? If so I recomend Soldier Blade for the TG16.
Fierce_LiNk Posted March 15, 2009 Author Posted March 15, 2009 can this disscussion include VC games? If so I recomend Soldier Blade for the TG16. Well, any Wii games would be appreciated. WiiWare, as well. We do not discriminate here, haha.
darksnowman Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 The absolute hidden gem of Wiiware is Toki Tori. Seriously, its so good guys!
Tellyn Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 Strong Bad's Cool Game For Attractive People It's hilariously fantastic, you could say that the humour is 'acquired' though. The absolute hidden gem of Wiiware is Toki Tori. Seriously, its so good guys! Absolutely, love that game.
darksnowman Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 Those Strong Bad games are something I wanna try out. I've Wii points waiting to be spent so I reckon I'll give it a download when we finally get access to the Wii storage solution!

You guys need to stop being arsey over storage, it takes a few hours to complete, and after that you can just delete it.
Wesley Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 Battalion Wars 2 The original was one of the most underated titles on Gamecube and it looks like the trend has followed the series onto Wii. Anyone who played and loved the first game has no reason not to buy this. The single player is much more varied, and while the campaign is still on the short side, there's a hugely addictive online mode that's kept me occupied for well over 200 matches. Oh, and it has freaking dreadnoughts. It'll be dirt cheap if you find it in stock anywhere, so I advise anyone to look out for it. I knew of the first in the series, but I had no idea this existed.
Fierce_LiNk Posted March 15, 2009 Author Posted March 15, 2009 I knew of the first in the series, but I had no idea this existed. Some helpful chaps posted links on the first page to cheap deals for this game, and you can find it for less than a tenner if you look around. So, go hunting. If you want it, that is.
Guest Captain Falcon Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 Can I do Mario Galaxy? I know its not a hidden gem, but it's just freaking brilliant. Given it's not broken the 1 million mark in Nintendo's homeland I guess you could do so for our Japanese audience.
darksnowman Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 You guys need to stop being arsey over storage, it takes a few hours to complete, and after that you can just delete it. Wow. Bee in your bonnet?
Tellyn Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 Wow. Bee in your bonnet? Not at all, I just think that people should stop this VC/WiiWare game-buying strike and make do with the options currently available, since you're missing out on some cracking titles. Maybe I should add a smiley this time to make you feel better, Frostilicus?

Maybe I should add a smiley this time to make you feel better, Frostilicus? Not everyone's striking fortunately. Its just a little annoying having to clean out the fridge. Though it isn't that bad, since most of us can just delete games we've finished like you said.
Tellyn Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 Ahuh. The Strong Bad series is especially well-suited to the fridge method, since they only take a few hours to complete as mentioned previously.

Maybe I should add a smiley this time to make you feel better, Frostilicus? The smiley makes it all better, Smellyn. Tbh, I've been cleaning and filling the fridge like a champion- I've no Wiiware games currently downloaded and I'm down to the barebones of my VC games. At the minute I need any space for other Wii games I'm yet to open and play, you know? Its only a matter of time til I try out Strongbad, but Secret Files and Sam & Max need playing first. By the time I get round to those and feel ready for another point and click, the memory solution should be with us.
Tellyn Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 Dude. Sam & Max takes up one block of memory space. And that's the Head of N00bz to you, boyo!
darksnowman Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 I'm glad to hear that. Any idea roughly how much Strongbad takes, Tellstrom?
nekunando Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 ExciteTruck never really got the recognition I felt it deserved.. it's one of my favourite Wii games and probably one of my most favourite racing games ever Mario Strikers: Charged Football was a game that had quite a following on N-Europe when it was first released, mainly due to the online aspect ) but how many of us play it now? I'll be honest, I haven't really been able to get into it again in the last year or more (partly due to PES 2008, probably ) but I do remember having a lot of fun with this game!
Cube Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 Nando, both of those games were great fun. Especially Excite Truck.
Ganepark32 Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 AH Mario Strikers. I remember the 104 - 1 drubbing I gave someone online. Was brilliant but got boring near the end so I jumped my own goalkeeper with toad to give him a goal. Was talking about Excite Truck early this evening with my brother while playing through Jeep Thrills and wondering why it sucked so much in comparison to Excite Truck. It made me really want to play it again and hopefully I will when I get my money this week from a few things.

Was brilliant but got boring near the end so I jumped my own goalkeeper with toad to give him a goal. Yea, the big problem was the amount of ways to get easy goals. I could score 95% of the time with Boo.
Ganepark32 Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 Yeh, hated people who made their teams purely Boos and just ran at goal and used the invisible thing. Got me so many times. Have to admit that I do miss playing the game. I wasn't great but I could still do well against the people higher up the list. A lot of the time it fell to luck really.
Fierce_LiNk Posted March 16, 2009 Author Posted March 16, 2009 Mario Strikers is really, really fun to play. The pace of it is perfect. It's quick, and rarely feels deal. But, like anything, if you're playing someone who's an arse, you'll lose some of that enjoyment. I could really do with some rematches on that.
nekunando Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 ..if anyone fancies a game or two right now, I'm up for it
Guest Maase Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 The Godfather: Black Hand edition is simple the best gem you'l ever find. GO BUY IT, NOWWWWWWW
Deathborn Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 The absolute hidden gem of Wiiware is Toki Tori. Seriously, its so good guys! This game is godly in mindfucking. Still have to finish a good bunch of the hard levels you unlock after beating the game but I suspect developpers made them impossible to finish just to laugh at us.
