flameboy Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 In honour of Factor 5's recent demise lets all play and rejoice in the greatness that was the Rogue Squadron/Leader franchise.
Pit-Jr Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 I played it (Leader) around 2 years ago. Picked it up the same time i got Killer 7 which could be one of the reasons why i never got into it. From what i remember, i thought the graphics were amazing but the flight felt a little too stiff for my liking. To be fair, i only played the first 3 levels I remember liking the N64 game alot better for whatever reason
Cube Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 Rogue Squadron, Battle For Naboo, Rogue Leader and Rebel Strike are all brilliant games. Unfortunately I currently have no was of playing any of them. Hopefully Lucasarts does what is right and sucks up the team and forces them to make nothing but Rogue Squadron games. I'd love for them to cover some more of the prequel trilogy (Clone Wars was OKt, but nothing on F5's games). Although I do have one negative: Those effin' stealth levels.
Jimbob Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 It was when Rouge Squadron II came onto the GC was when we saw what the GC was capable of even in its early days. The game itself was brilliant, flight controls and firing was amazing, when in cockpit view it made you think you were controlling the vehicles for real. Even III was a good game, a small let down was the on-foot sections but they were still good.
Nolan Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 Define on foot. I found the times I was in a walker to be quite fun, but no vehicle was bleh. Also, the speeder bike race was intense the first time.
Portlett Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 Rogue Leader was the best in the series in my opinion and was my girst gamecube game bought all the way back in may 2002.
Fierce_LiNk Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 I've recently been wanting to play this game. Me and Jaysevenwickywickywildwildwest tried the Death Star Attack on the Rebel Strike Co-op, and just remembered how awesome that level was/is. Seriously, one of the greatest first levels of a game, and one of the most faithful and exciting movie-to-game levels there are/is.
LegoMan1031 Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 I would love to play these again! Pity i no longer have any of my cube games... May look to ebay if i get desperate enough for some tie-fighter destroying action!

Hellfire Posted December 25, 2008 Posted December 25, 2008 Amazing games and RL co op is an awesome experience. I'm gonna boot it up as soon as I can ^^ Getting all the medals was freaking hard, but it felt like quite an accomplishment and all the little extras like flying a car were great.
