Does anyone remember seeing any TV ads for gamecube? i don't recall seeing any during her lifetime. Know we see at least one Wii advert on every major channel everyweek.

Yeh I remember some of the ones from the release of the Gamecube. The one where it was an exhibition hall and in the centre was a huge glass cube and on it they projected footage of the games. Then there were the Wind Waker adverts where the woman who was cloaked was talking about something (not a real woman I don't think) and then went on to show footage of the game. They didn't really pushing the Gamecube through advertising as they were very minimal in what they advertised.

I remember seeing a few at the beginning of the generation. I seem to remember they had someone whispering "gamecube" at the end of them. I don't remember much else. You didn't see them very often though. You could try searching them on youtube.

I remember the Wind Waker advert - it was the first game I ever preordered and spent months anticipating, and it was this game that enticed me into buying NGC and becoming a Nintendo nut. :heh: It was Link's sister telling us what the storyline was, then a bit of gameplay. Also remember the Donkey Konga advert. *Cough*.

Resi 4 had a few. Some multi platform games would have the gamecube logo after it. I know for a fact super mario sunshine had one, but it wasn't ridiculous like the US one.

I think I remember the Resi 4 ones now that you mention it.

There were some great adverts for the Gamecube at the beginning. The ones inside the cube were quite funky. But, as soon as the launch period ended, they were so few and far between.

It's a shame. They could have done so much more with the GameCube name.

I remember quite a few of the old "glass cube" adverts with a game featured in a glass cube. Ones i remember are Star Wars: Rouge Squadren II, Sonic Adventure II, Super Smash Bros: Melee and Luigi's Mansion.

Others ads i have seen include Wind Waker, Mario Sunshine (embarrased) and Metroid Prime

Actually, the Metroid Prime advert was pretty decent, I thought.

Hmm, might have to track that down sometime.

Also, were there many adverts for Resident Evil 4, or other third party games?

The Metroid Prime ad was decent, one of the few which were decent to be fair.
