Mokong Posted October 19, 2008 Posted October 19, 2008 Sign me up Nathan, put myself, shadow and your shelf in one band, we can be the Podcast Troupe
ShadowV7 Posted October 19, 2008 Posted October 19, 2008 Haha, that's a great idea. I want the drums for this. I'm buying the game along so I don't get an extra guitar and save some money, but I was hoping there would be a bundle with the drums and game so now i'm gonna have to wait till the instruments are released seperatly instead of me having to but that uber pack.
Cookyman Posted October 19, 2008 Author Posted October 19, 2008 If you want to see every song in the game in action then go here Go on you know you want to Some interesting new gameplay elements on some of the tracks - enjoy!
Davey_T Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Iv only just thought of something today which may stop me buying the full band. Will i need a wii remote to plug into each instrument? Because you know... i dont have 4 wii remotes
Diageo Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 you will if u plan to play 4 player, if u don't then u can just keep swapping, u dont have one in the mic either i think.
Fierce_LiNk Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 If I only buy the game now, can I still purchase the extra guitar and/or drums seperately later? I've got my guitar from Legends of Rock, and I can't really afford to get the whole lot straight away. But, I do want to play Everlong and a million other choons.
dazzybee Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Yeah you can. I think you can buy any uSB mic for about a tenner and that will work.
MadDog Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Iv only just thought of something today which may stop me buying the full band. Will i need a wii remote to plug into each instrument? Because you know... i dont have 4 wii remotes I never actually thought of that...good point.
Tellyn Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 You'll need three Remotes to play four player. To be honest, I don't see myself playing with my family, so I'll get MadDog to bring his round when we meet up for band sessions () and just alternate when I'm in single player or playing online.

MadDog Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 I think i will just buy the guitar bundle at first, then buy a seperate mic, i found one on amazon for £15, but i couldn't find cheaper. I have my GH3 guitar so i can use that for bass guitar, just need some drums at a later date
welsh_gamer Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 If I only buy the game now, can I still purchase the extra guitar and/or drums seperately later? I haven't seen any Guitar Hero drum kits listed sepreately online yet...
Mokong Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 Does anyone have a clue what is up with play, amazon and game changing the release date for the band pack to the 14th but the guitar pack and game only are still listed as the 7th?
MadDog Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 I haven't seen any Guitar Hero drum kits listed sepreately online yet... Im pretty sure they will release them after the full band release date. Well they better:blank:
dazzybee Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 What a weekend that's going to be, Guitar Hero and Wii Music!!! I'm bizarrely more excited about Wii Music, but this is going to be amazing! Can't wait to get into the music studio!! The hours I put into the one in Band Bros.!!
welsh_gamer Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 Does anyone have a clue what is up with play, amazon and game changing the release date for the band pack to the 14th but the guitar pack and game only are still listed as the 7th? Noticed yeterday that in the GAME Christmas catalogue that it stated that GH4 was being released from Nov 7th, so it looks like this is true. Maybe there is some manufacturing problem with the drums?
Ganepark32 Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 The DLC available for the Wii version from release has been announced and is as follows: * An Endless Sporadic – "Anything" (free) * Blind Melon – "No Rain" (200 Wii Points) * Boston – "Rock and Roll Band" (200 Wii Points) * Foreigner – "Hot Blooded" (200 Wii Points) * Metallica – "Broken, Beat & Scarred" (200 Wii Points) * Metallica – "Cyanide" (200 Wii Points) * Metallica – "My Apocalypse" (200 Wii Points) * Rick Springfield – "Jessie’s Girl" (200 Wii Points) * Sworn – "Electro Rock" (free) * Ted Nugent/s Original Guitar Duel (free) * Zakk Wylde's Original Guitar Duel (free) The following songs will be available for download in the weeks after release: * Oasis – "Bag it Up" (200 Wii Points) * Oasis – "The Shock of the Lightning" (200 Wii Points) * Oasis – "Waiting for the Rapture" (200 Wii Points) * R.E.M. – "Horse to Water" (200 Wii Points) * R.E.M. – "Man-Sized Wreath" (200 Wii Points) * R.E.M. – "Supernatural Superserious" (200 Wii Points) Not too bad. Pricing is in line with the other versions of Guitar Hero (thought I'd get that in before anyone moans of being ripped off). Strange they aren't releasing the entirity of Death Magnetic for download onto the Wii but hey-ho. At least it's getting DLC
dazzybee Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 I really can't wait for this game; I'm worried about how many songs ill be dowbloading and spending insane amounts of money. is it me or are the songs a bit pricey though? I thought they were £1 each? This works out at £1.40!!! Also, if each song is 200 blocks, how many would this fit onto a 2g SD Card?
Ganepark32 Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 200 Wii points works out at £1.50. 200 MS points work out at ~ £1.75. PSN is roughly the same as the 360 so in essence, it's slightly cheaper than buying songs for GH on the 360 and PS3.
dazzybee Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 It's £1.40 if you buy them direct from the channel. I though the PS3/360 songs were only £1... I buy US songs for Rock Band and they're $2 so thats probably my confusion! I still think they're overpriced though! The game is the full game with all the features and 86 songs for £30!!! I'd rather they just released 50 song track packs for £20, even £30 to be honest!
MadDog Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 But the problem of selling 50 songs at once is that people might only like a few songs out of them, at least DLC lets people pick exactly what they want
dazzybee Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 But if they did 50 songs at £30 half of them would be free Also, I find with these games that although its great to play songs you love, the real enjoyment comes from the arrangement of the music you play. Theres songs i HATE that I love playing because the drums or the guitar riffs are amazing to play!
david.dakota Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 Moan when there's no DLC. Moan when there is. Can't we just be grateful a developer has gone the extra mile? Out of interest, whats the transfer speed from SD to Wii System Memory like?

Out of interest, whats the transfer speed from SD to Wii System Memory like? I'm not moaning, just saying it's pretty expensive. And the speed normally is extremely slow; but for Guitar Hero its meant to VERY fast. And Nintendo are changing the speed of the transfer for their "storage solution" next year!
