Roostophe Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 If it's ugly footballers you want? Here's one: Sasa Curcic. Used to play for Villa, Bolton, Crystal Palace and Yugoslavia. Winner of Serbian Celebrity Big Brother 2007, and one ugly bastard!
Fierce_LiNk Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 Someone should come up with "The Fugly 11" a list of the ugliest footballers in history... let's see... Back 4: * * Martin Keown * Middle 4: * Steven Gerrard Peter Beardsley James Milner Forwards * Wayne Rooney Well... that's a start. Peter Crouch...without a shadow of a doubt. Tuncay...haha.
Fierce_LiNk Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 Disgusting lack of either Nevilles in that list. There's worse out there, surely. Dwight Yorke for starters.
tapedeck Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 Peter Beardsley hands down. Funny as hell footballer lookalikes (Ray Parlour ftw!) And is it just me that thinks Billy Zane plays in goal for Liverpool?! Pepe Reina AKA Billy Zane
Iun Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 Tevez? Ribery? Also Gerrard isnt ugly. Steven Gerrard looks like Neanderthal Man. Emile Heskey as well. Looks like a deflated tire.
Fierce_LiNk Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 Peter Beardsley hands down. Funny as hell footballer lookalikes (Ray Parlour ftw!) And is it just me that thinks Billy Zane plays in goal for Liverpool?! Pepe Reina AKA Billy Zane He looks a lot like Vin Diesel, especially in Pitch Black.
Fresh Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 Steven Gerrard looks like Neanderthal Man. Simply, no he doesn't.
BlueStar Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 You'll be pleased to know the big five are representing you all on thew world stage From NUFC.com Replacing the previous G14 group, European football clubs including Newcastle have banded together in a new organisation named the European Club Association. 103 clubs from the 53 nations that participate in UEFA competitions form the group, with membership being initially based on current rankings. That means that Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool and Newcastle represent England in the ECA, which will be based in the Swiss city of Geneva.
Iun Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Simply, no he doesn't. The dude as got a sloping forehead with an enormous dent in it! He's a great player, but I half expect him to bring on a wooden club with him! Oh, and let's not forget Obafemi Martins. Ugly, ugly man. Magic left foot though.
Fierce_LiNk Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 You'll be pleased to know the big five are representing you all on thew world stage From NUFC.com Saviour that...because it's the closest thing Newcastle are going to get to being regarded as part of the top five for a very long time.
BlueStar Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 It's calculated on the UEFA rankings and thanks to the fact we've played a fuck-load of games in Europe in our recent history we're right near the top of that. A bit like how Tim Henman was so high up simply from playing loads of tennis against no-marks.
Chuck Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 You'll be pleased to know the big five are representing you all on thew world stage From NUFC.com Must be because we are 'rich'. We are shite otherwise
BlueStar Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Like I say, it's based on the UEFA rankings, used for seeding teams in Europe. Newcastle is one of only a handful of English clubs to have played over 100 games in Europe, so we're near the top of it. Edit: In fact here are the UEFA rankings for 2008 if anyone's interested. http://www.xs4all.nl/~kassiesa/bert/uefa/data/method3/trank2008.html
Esequiel Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 lolnewcastle? Umm... Chelsea top? Why because they consistently win fuck all in europe?
BlueStar Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 It's the UEFA rankings used for seeding teams in European competitions and as the basis for things like inviting teams to represent their country to UEFA.
Roostophe Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Ah, I get it now. Well we haven't played in Europe since 2001. Millwall did 4 years ago from reaching the FA Cup final. It all makes sense now...
Fresh Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 We all know the UEFA rankings are absolute bollocks anyway.
Fierce_LiNk Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 It's calculated on the UEFA rankings and thanks to the fact we've played a fuck-load of games in Europe in our recent history we're right near the top of that. A bit like how Tim Henman was so high up simply from playing loads of tennis against no-marks. Good analogy. Still, enjoy it. Just a thought, but which team do people think will finish next year anyway?
Esequiel Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 Just a thought, but which team do people think will finish next year anyway? Im sorry, maybe it too early but i cant understand that....
Fierce_LiNk Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 Im sorry, maybe it too early but i cant understand that.... Haha, damn. It's meant to say finish fifth this year. But, I forgot one important word - fifth. Haha.
