Hero-of-Time Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Heres a video from ScrewAttack giving 5 reasons why you should keep your Wii and 5 reasons why you should sell it. Some of them are stupid reasons ( DVD ) but its still an entertaining watch. http://www.gametrailers.com/player/33664.html
flameboy Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 It's all abit immature...whats with the constant farting noises...cack minus points mostly.
tapedeck Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Shovelware by video comes to mind. It's kind of like this... It doesn't play DVD's! *Faints* It doesn't have many AAA 3rd party games! *Faints* It gets you girls! *REDEEMED* You can trade it in for a 360 NOT a PS3! *sigh, idiots* As for trade-ins, I always come away feeling like I've been raped by the store. Not worth it.
Guest Jordan Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Screwattack are pretty good, admittedly this video is pretty immature. I'd never sell another console. Ever.
david.dakota Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 trade ins are just not worth it. I was offered £3.00 cash, £6.00 trade for Mario Kart DD the other week at Gamestation. It later sold on eBay for nearly a tenner.
darksnowman Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Nice find. Lol, stupid reasons aplenty but take a listen to the background music in it! Quality stuff right there. Does anyone know what the music is for the very last reason on it? It's the credits of something, but I can't quite picture it...
Hero-of-Time Posted May 8, 2008 Author Posted May 8, 2008 Nice find. Lol, stupid reasons aplenty but take a listen to the background music in it! Quality stuff right there. Does anyone know what the music is for the very last reason on it? It's the credits of something, but I can't quite picture it... The very last piece of music is from Duck Tales on the NES, I think it was from the Space level. EDIT: Yey I was right
darksnowman Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Thanks for that, it would have bugged me all day! I played and loved Ducktales on the Gameboy- the Himalaya's, the dracula-type boss... great game. Isn't it funny how "back in the day" licensed games like these used to be worth playing?
soag Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 The very last piece of music is from Duck Tales on the NES, I think it was from the Space level. EDIT: Yey I was right I fecking love that game I demend it come out on the VC!
Portlett Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 yeh i remember seeming to enjoy Hook on the snes but im sure it was just my naiveity and that it may have been utter bollox.
soag Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 yeh i remember seeming to enjoy Hook on the snes but im sure it was just my naiveity and that it may have been utter bollox. I loved hook on the nes, but when i dug out my nes last year and played it it was as you say utter bollox .
Guest Jordan Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 I fecking love that game I demend it come out on the VC! Duck Tales on the NES was the first game i ever finished! I think i was like... 5 or something.
Shino Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Despite being childish and overall pointless, I like the fact they didn't brought up the Wii's graphics as a reason to trade in.
ShadowV7 Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Good video. Just the fart sounds made it a bit crappy They're right about the 3rd party. Can't really think of a game that's Wii only apart from Zack and Wiki and NHM that's good.
Hellfire Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Boom Blox, Sonic, NiGHTS, RE4, REUC, Mercury Meltdown, ELedees, Okami, MoH, etc :P
ShadowV7 Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Well AAA titles then Though those are god games actually. Forgot about them, though I only have Sonic from those, well RE4 but that's a port. Is Okami out yet in the US? Though that's a port and not built up for the Wii.
Hero-of-Time Posted May 8, 2008 Author Posted May 8, 2008 Boom Blox, Sonic, NiGHTS, RE4, REUC, Mercury Meltdown, Eledees, Okami, MoH, etc :P How could have they forgot about Eledees?? Its a sweet little title that everyone who has a Wii should buy, its 2 for £30 just about everywhere now aswell.
ShadowV7 Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 I still keeeep meaning to get Eledees actually. I wanted it since it came out but never had the chance to buy it.
Hellfire Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Ugh I hate that AAA expression lol. Yeah Eledees is pretty sweet, need to get some more time into it. Curious to see how the sequel will turn out.
Guest bluey Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 i dont regret trading my wii ~ i got £200 cash for it when i only paid £150 new.. and the only reason i'd want it now is to play mario galaxy so i can throw kompeito at fat little star people (^___^)
Mr. Bananagrabber Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Keep:5. Virtual Console 4. It's Politically Safe (?) 3. Completely Backwards Compatible 2. Helps you get chicks Sell: 5. No DVD Support Are all terrible reasons. The rest are pretty much spot on. Although that guy's voice makes me want to kill someone. I never found Screw Attack very funny to be honest. I'm not the Wii's biggest fan, but I think the machine is well worth owning. Sonic, NiGHTS, RE4, REUC, Mercury Meltdown, Okami, MoH, etc :P Are all rubbish or ported from a last gen machine. :p Edit- Duck Tales was fucking awesome.
darksnowman Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Pro Evo is one of the best games on the Wii at the moment... AND its third party!
Tellyn Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 The Wii's an awesome console, most people don't look past Nintendo's titles though.
