Daft Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Hence the end ammendment, which was edited before I posted it That's alright, we all make mistakes...well you certainly do. :awesome:

Pit-Jr Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 Atlus have picked up Demon's Souls for the US. I'm guessing a European release probably won't happen, but at least importing should cost on the right side of £40 now. Yes! Glad i decided to hold off on importing
dwarf Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 Why buy MGS if you have it on disc? I do like the fact that all (?) PS1 games work on PS3. You can say Crash is dated but I don't care, it has bags of charm and it seems I'm the only one that still wants some solid running jumping and spinning - the gems and relics in Crash were immensely fun to get. Just don't mention the Crash games that were made after NaughtyDogs reign, they aren't the same. Those maps don't even look special btw. 'OOOH! I got killed by a random lightning bolt!' Who gives a shit about stuff like that, Guerilla should make things more fun to play than good to look at. They looked distinctly average anyway.
dwarf Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 You just like handing money over for anything Killzone. No-where in that video does it look like we haven't seen something like that before. If they're going to make new maps then make it radically different (not like the train where gameplay suffers) by making it more vibrant and adding maybe new functionality like vehicles or something a bit more different. They could release 10 map packs for 4.99 and the different designs would obviously offer variants in the action but what would be the point? Apart from stealing £50 off fans...
MATtheHAT Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 Killed the first Demon last night and subsequent trophy get on Demon's Souls. Brutal......just brutal, but the satisfaction gained when you finally do it is immense. To be honest the punishing difficulty put me off at first, but I am glad I stuck with it. The game is now really opening up with all the 'worlds' now unlocked. I think I now have to do some grinding to level up my character before I try to face off with the next one. Recommended.

Still not arrived. YesAsia are really fucking me over and not even allowed to cancel the order. STILL says 'searching from suppliers' on the status of my order! WTF?!
Daft Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 I'm not a fan of YesAsia. They always just took ages, I found.
Deathjam Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 (edited) I'm not a fan of YesAsia. They always just took ages, I found. In a couple of days, it would have been a month. Mat ordered his after me from ebay and got it first! EDIT: On a nicer not, really digging the look of the PSN store when you head to the latest section. Should always look like that. tapedeck Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 (edited) New area on HOME screams E3 Really getting into HOME atm. It's quality when there are a few regulars on later in the evening. Can't wait for more spaces though. (The resistance one went up yesterday too. Good stuff.) Kinda sad that we aint got appliances in our homes yet. That would change the dynamics of the title massively as ppl would take friends back to their pads more. Pictures and tv's...all need to hurry the hell up. (And not be overpriced.) dwarf Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 Om nom nom will check out the Resistance area after Infamous demo. And 4D interactive add.... And all the other demos and shit they crammed on the store yesterday. It's like buses!
Daft Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 The Resistance area is pretty cool. The shooting game is quite fun. I'm going to give it another go. The E3 area looks interesting. Not much going on but if the manage to stream the conference, then f*ck me that'll be amazing. Wouldn't be that hard to do really.
dwarf Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 Resistance area wasn't that great in my view, didn't have many hints that it was a Resistance place - none of the cars, scenery or chimera in sight. The game was OK. Didn't see the game launching in it, not that I'm bothered. Or do you need the disc in to be able to see the function?
tapedeck Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 They need more "game" areas in Home too. Can never get a bloody pool table or find anyone with manners. Managed to get on the EA race one late at night but it's still a question of being lucky or playing reeeealy late on. Still, thought we would have seen more developers get on the Home train. There's no reason we shouldn't have had the Uncharted space as well as some others. EA's space is nice and, for the most part, I like the design of each area. The Red Bull plane area needs major updating though with more competitions on. Still, when appliances arrive in home I'll be delighted with it. That and those 3D trophies they were banging on about ages ago. Tbh E3 presents the perfect time for more info of where Home is heading and how it is doing in general. Never thought I'd get addicted to this but certainly have. It's the potential factor too. Very clever stuff Sony...Now just put more 'things' on there please... I'd love a LBP area made of plush items/cardboard etc...Surprised that hasn't had an area considering it's a major DLC player for the PS3.
dwarf Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 I think they need more interactive stuff, more things to read about and information. Just little things where you can get involved. And yeah I'm surprised there isn't more stuff to get involved in, I mean it's great plugging for the developers and their games. It did take an awful long time for them to release that relatively poor Resistance space though. Hard to program perhaps?
flameboy Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 We are supposed to be getting more spaces in the future. Need to check out the new ones. Yeah didn't they recently give a number as to how many we expect every month, can't remember the figure they gave.
LegoMan1031 Posted May 22, 2009 Posted May 22, 2009 (edited) DNS errors back again, Wont let me log into PSN. Any new suggestions? I feel for you, I had that rut of connection problems when Killzone 2 came out and it is such a ball ache.

dwarf Posted May 23, 2009 Posted May 23, 2009 I PMd 5 people over on the official Eu PS forums in order to entice them to this forum so we can hopefully get a bit more discussion/games going cause let's face it this board is pretty dire most of the time.

Think the reason its dire at the min m8 its because theres no games to talk about. Think it will pick up soon tho with E3 and games coming out.
dwarf Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Well 2 people said they'd check the site out so that's good. They both seemed of reasonable intelligence so I hope they join!
Hero-of-Time Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 The Bonus Round checks out what Sony has to offer at this years E3. http://www.gametrailers.com/episode/bonusround/304?ch=3&sd=1 Im personally looking forward to Sonys showing, they always put on a great show at E3 and were miles ahead of everyone else last year.
