harribo Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 This will turn into another 'Dead Horse Smiley' incident. Lets hope not.
Caris Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 Yeah man. If only they had some members that weren't straight off our ban list that place would be awesome! Don't even start.
Wesley Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 I voted no because I don't think they're needed.. simple as. All so, would this not create problems due to auto-play of YouTube videos?
harribo Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 I voted no because I don't think they're needed.. simple as. All so, would this not create problems due to auto-play of YouTube videos? They don't auto play. Also going by your argument are images really needed? No they're not a link would suffice but it's nice to have these features.
Emasher Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 Perhaps we could have a preference that lets you decide if you want the actual movie embedded or if you want to just have a link to youtube.
Wesley Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 I think images are needed, yes. And the preferences idea is cool. If they don't auto-play it's not a problem.
fatnickc Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 I wouldn't personally use it, but I'm sure others would find it useful. I'd like them to be added so long as there is an option to turn them off and just have a link to the video instead.
Supergrunch Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 I think it might be useful in some circumstances, and it would be relatively hard to abuse, so it's probably a good idea.
DCK Posted September 17, 2007 Posted September 17, 2007 Maybe there should be an option similar to <embed></embed> in HTML so you can import videos other than YouTube's. Anyway, I'm all in favor of this. I suggest VBulletin adds an option to disable this tag for each user personally, though.
Shino Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 So.... is this going ahead or what? They're trying the "If I ignore it, maybe it will go away" approach.
EchoDesiato Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 They're trying the "If I ignore it, maybe it will go away" approach. A bit like with the NE quiz.
mcj metroid Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 Tut tut that's a bit lazy now mods. Work on it!
