Choze Posted August 25, 2007 Posted August 25, 2007 http://www.crysissector.com/info/systemrequirements.php Crysis wont use DX10 specific graphics. Its a common misconception. Specs seem really nice. Its less demanding than certain games already released...
BeerMonkey Posted August 25, 2007 Posted August 25, 2007 CPU: Athlon 64 3000+/Intel 2.8ghz - i got 1 gig athlon so nope Graphics: Nvidia 6600 or ATI X1600 - Shader Model 2.0 - geforce 2 ere so no RAM: 1GB - 512 lol HDD: 6GB - not bad Internet: 256k+ Optical Drive: DVD Software: DX9 with Windows XP / Vista
Fresh Posted August 25, 2007 Posted August 25, 2007 Hummm... should play well on mine then. Not official system requirements btw.
McPhee Posted August 25, 2007 Posted August 25, 2007 if this is right then WOOHOO! i should be able to get everything fairly high once i overclock my cpu
Colin Posted August 25, 2007 Posted August 25, 2007 Aren't these spec listings about two months old or so. Still, we'll know by the middle of Sept what the real deal is, as beta multiplayer commences around then. My system will be able to run it fine, but not at full settings because of my video card.
Sanchez Posted August 25, 2007 Posted August 25, 2007 Those seem a little too low to me, I'm expecting at least a 7800 for graphics and definitely minimum 1GB ram, but if these are right, well then i'm impressed.
Choze Posted August 25, 2007 Author Posted August 25, 2007 i think people have been quite scared. My current pc literally flies with all the new demos. Only Lost planet on max max settings can make it stutter(seems buggy). Also Wow funnily enough runs worse than the Bioshock demo... I was hoping for 200+fps in Wow but no it had to be around 60-70 fps.
Caris Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 These might not be "official" but the Crytek CEO did say for high specs you would need a E6600. 8800GTS and 2GB Memory.
CoolFunkMan Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 CPU: E6600 Core 2 Duo - I only have an E6420, damn'! >< Graphics: Nvidia 8800GTS - All good to go here ^^ RAM: 2GB - 2GB? Go that sorted... HDD: 6GB - pffft, that's nothing! Steam and it's games takes up almost 20gb of my hard drive O.o So, appart from the CPU, I should be able to run Crysis on ultra high settings, yays! ^^
McPhee Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 Overclock the CPU, that'll round off you're spec
CoolFunkMan Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 I would, but I'm not sure what the best apps are to do it with. Plus Source engine games hate overclocking, apparently. Although, I guess it's worth a try, what apps would you recommend?
theguyfromspark Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 I'll wait for the shoddy 360 version where you turn into a cat or a gorilla or something.
Guest Jordan Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 Wait a second. Crysis is a freaking Direct X 10 game, there are comparison videos all over the internet about it!
theguyfromspark Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 There's a DirectX 9 mode though, 10 isn't a requirement apparantly.
Marshmellow Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 6Gb of HDD space!? I really need to invest in another hard drive...
Guest Jordan Posted August 29, 2007 Posted August 29, 2007 6Gb of HDD space!? I really need to invest in another hard drive... How big is your HDD? I'm having trouble filling up a 250GB drive in my desktop, and thats got a good 30 games on it.

Although, I guess it's worth a try, what apps would you recommend? You overclock in the BIOS, take a look around. I haven't had any trouble overclocked with source games and I played all the way through Episode one.
Marshmellow Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 How big is your HDD?I'm having trouble filling up a 250GB drive in my desktop, and thats got a good 30 games on it. One of those wd 74GB 10k rpm hard drives. I have about 31GB worth of documets/pics/vids/etc. Vista is 9Gb somehow o.O and 4Gb worth of programs. I'm getting pretty low.
evad_lhorg Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 I heard optimum specs for this was Skynet. Recommended was the matrix.
Sheikah Posted September 7, 2007 Posted September 7, 2007 Ultra High Requirements CPU: E6600 Core 2 Duo Graphics: Nvidia 8800GTS RAM: 2GB HDD: 6GB Internet: 512k+ (128k+ upstream) Optical Drive: DVD Software: DX9 with Windows XP / Vista Awesome, that's my PC exactly (not the HDD size obviously) :p
Choze Posted September 7, 2007 Author Posted September 7, 2007 There is a competition running where you could win a top pc and stuff. We should enter.
