Paj! Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 Just won Pixie Strikes Back! TPB on eBay. I do it cause I love it.
Dan_Dare Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 I actually like Pixie. Great character design in a proper X-Men style
Murr Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 well... im a n00b in comics so dont mock. but i bought the Kick Ass Graphic Novel last week. I gotta say it is awesome. really looking forward to the dvd release of it now I've read The Ultimates Vol. 1: Super-Human And The Ultimates Vol. 2: Homeland Security and really enjoyed them. anything you guys could reccomend along the lines of the Ultimates / Avengers. i really like the concept of a group of hero's working together but not your normal hero team like X-Men or Fantastic 4. I mean like different Heros that somehow are brought together.

Happenstance Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 (edited) New Avengers Vol.1 you might like DC New Frontier Vol.1+2 Any of the Marvel events over the past few years are usually a good read for that kind of stuff so House of M, Civil War, Secret Invasion, Siege EDIT: Geoff Johns relaunch of Teen Titans was pretty good as well, starts with Teen Titans: A Kids Game Edited August 9, 2010 by Happenstance
Dan_Dare Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 New Avengers is pretty good if you're going back a couple of years
ReZourceman Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 We should really recommend Invincible and Wolf-Man too. Although they're not exactly what you described as liking, they have a lot of government interaction and are amazing so....
Happenstance Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 That doesnt matter to ReZ, as long as he can recommend Invincible he will :p
ReZourceman Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 They're not what he asked about! At all! Sure they are. Invincible has a team in. :p
Happenstance Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 Once Guardians of the Globe comes out we can recommend that
ReZourceman Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 SEELEY'S BIG ADVENTURE WITH "ANT-MAN & THE WASP" CBR News spoke with writer and artist Tim Seeley about "Ant-Man & the Wasp," the coming miniseries starring the irredeemable Erin O'Grady and original Avenger, Hank Pym in a global adventure. http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=27732
Dan_Dare Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 Is it just me or is the perspective all wrong for Thor on the Ultimates 2 cover?
ReZourceman Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 I think its just you...whats wrong with it exactly?
Dan_Dare Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 He looks a bit smaller than he should- unless he and Giant Man are both really, really far away.
Mundi Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 He looks tiny on it. Also, anyone recommend any comic selling websites that ship internationally?

Daft Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 I'm reading through Joker's Asylum. It's kind of weird, like 'Tales from the Crypt', with the Joker narrating. It's quite enjoyable so far. Different from the usual thing. Didn't like whoever drew the first issue. Much preferred the second.
gmac Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 Murr if you're looking for a team book that's a bit different, Secret Six is pretty good. It's basically about a bunch of DC villains working for the Government essentially doing black-ops. Think there's only two trades of the current volume and the first is hard to find, but it's pretty sweet.
Paj! Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 He looks a bit smaller than he should- unless he and Giant Man are both really, really far away. He's the same size as Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. Each person is further and further away.
ReZourceman Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 Mother fucker, next week is god damn sick!!!!!
Paj! Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 That's next-next week though, isn't it? I know Incredible Hulk is meant to come out before Hulk. Oh, was that the list Happenstance posted a few pages back? With Ultimate Avengers 3 1? I understand now.
Dante Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Why is one of the lantern entity on the 2nd cover?
