Niiiiiiiiice.

I've caught up on a few bits today, including Morning Glories. Tis good, but too much mystery for my liking. I'll perser veer.

Also realised I was missing Brightest Day's latest issue (which Happenstance said something interesting happens) which is annoying. Getting delivered (or will just pick up) tomorrow, so I'll ask for these.

And Iron Man 500.1

And I can't remember if I've mentioned but I'm still certain that the new Venom will be Frank Castle.

YES. Happy to see all the Earth's Mightiest voice talent too, I think all those voices are awesome and I really like Iron Mans similarity/trying to be like RDJ, it works very well IMO.

Okay, how about this for a discussion point.

CHOOSE 4 EXISTING COMIC BOOKS.

Now choose the creative teams for each book, from ANYONE, e.g. Spidey by Grant Morrison etc. I'll choose in a second.

Grant Morrison has already done Batman, X-Men and JLA...I guess Spider-Man? I have a feeling he would be an odd fit. Could stun me though.

Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely - Spider-Man

I love the image of Quitely drawn Spidey arcs.

(Ooooh we should also choose what story arc they'd tackle)

Please stop trying to ruin Spider-Man for me more than it already has been over the years!

Hahahahaha.

Happenstance, I refuse to accept that you think Grant Morrison would ruin Spider-Man. :yay:

We all know you hate Frank Quitely but sometimes we have to let quality in, even if it scares us.

To be honest I dont hate all of Morrisons stuff, I just think sometimes his stories colapse a bit under his own concepts and ideas. Final Crisis is always the big example for me, I found it really enjoyable right up until the defeat of Darkseid, then it just goes weird and has a big bad that wasnt even introduced in the main story.

I'm gonna reread all of Seven Soldiers/Final Crisis soonish to formulate a true opinion, as I can't remember what I thought of it as a whole (I was stunned by bits I know).

But yeah, I can see where you come from with Final Crisis (even though I liked it), but I've yet to find a comic writer as willing to push the boundaries of the medium (of superhero comics) story-telling wise. :)

UGH. Apparently Invincible was short shipped to the UK by 2000.

Not sure if thats true of course, because my comic shop owner is a compulsive liar. :(

C'maaaan/.

My first

Geoff Johns and Ed McGuinness on Invincible

Storyline - Coming together of Invincible Rogues Gallery (kind of like a sinister six type thing) tie in some kind of guy who neutralises (in some way) Angstrom Levy's portal powers temporarily, so Angstrom has to use tech and no portals in the fight, etc. Yeeeaaahhh.

Just read Brightest Day #19, I cant believe they did what they did in it. I cant decide if its hilarious or rediculous.

As for your discussion point ReZ, gimmi a bit of time and i'll respond.

Id like to see JMS on X-Men. The story would be that sometime in the past, when only a couple of months could have passed in comic time Jean Grey had twins after she had sex with Magneto, these twins would then turn up in the future and the female one would try and get it on with Cyclops. JMS however would not bother to stay on the book long enough to finish this story.

Nice.

Happenstance I'm considering downloading the last few issues of Brightest Day...is it worth it?

Also just read Guarding the Globe which is finally up. Pretty decent. Slaying Mantis FTW. :p

Its got to be something wrong with your connection ReZ, Hotfile always downloads my stuff in about a minute.

Anyway, felt like a bit of a nothing issue to me, not sure what I think of the revelation at the end either.

If you have actually downloaded it already just try renaming it a .cbr file

Not worked. :(

Cheers blud. :)

I love how the universe aligns itself consistently to disable me from reading Invincible. Like...never seen this CBR error ever and it happens on Vince. Typical. Absolutely typical.
