I think you'll find that Scotland are the most boring rugby nation on the planet at the moment and once again relied on Patterson's 100% kicking to get them anywhere. Had he missed a single kick (or if the Italian had gotten any of his 4 misses), Italy would be in the QF, not Scotland. They would also deserve to be there unlike a Scotland team who have no idea how to score tries, how to run with the ball or how to do anything other than pressure opposition packs into giving away penalties.

Argentina meanwhile are on the form of their lives, and gave Ireland a complete thrashing. They have a genius in the form of Hernandez, a true leader in Pichot, a fierce front row, fantastic players in the form of the Lobbes, and an all round fantastic player with a great rugby brain in Felipe Contepomi. They'll run Scotland off the park and thrash them scoreline wise MORE than comfortably. Scotland are insanely over-hyped.

England may not be fantastic at the moment but at least we've scored 8 tries these last two games. Scotland have scored all of zero in two games. But yes I agree, we have very very little hope of beating the 3rd best team in the world. They're playing some fantastic rugby and are my favourites to win the thing, so I don't expect an England win. What I do expect is a bit of passion, a bit of intensity and some quality finishing from Jason Robinson and Paul Sackey putting us on the end of a few decent scores.

I wouldn't say Ireland were thrashed by Argentina. Far from it. We were outplayed and outscored, but that does not equal a thrashing.

We were the first team this world cup to put tries past them. 2 in fact.

Hernandez is, in a word, astounding.

Scotland are everything you said though. Boring and flat. They haven't a hope of progressing. Their forwards are slow and their backs don't seem to move the ball with any conviction.

Ok a 'thrashing' probably wasn't the right choice of words, but Ireland were blown away in the second half. Wasn't too impressed with BOD's post match interview though, giving no credit whatsoever to Argentina. There's bad blood between the two sides I hear.

This is 100 times better than I thought we would be so far. Half time.

I can't believe we're actually in this game. Come on lads

Yeah, we're playing a bloody lot better than we've played in the past.

Hopefully, we'll mantain that in the second half and win the game.

Come on! I can't believe I'm shouting for England!
Apparently even the French are cheering for us in the stadium!!!

Something good must be going down if the Irish AND the French are supporting the old, common enemy, Les Anglais! :yay:

I love watching rugby! Come on lads!

Ahh! It's 10-9! This is too tense to stay and rely on internet updated, I'm off to watch this! :awsome:

I'm not much of a rugby fan, but I was fully expecting for Australia to be slaughtering England by now, 'specially given some of our recent form.

EDIT: Just saw this on the BBC news page.

What are they covering this game from? Wikipedia? :heh:

That tackle at the end where the england player just ran and basically took the legs out of an aussie. The turnover in the first half followed by the aussie foul. And the judo tackle lol. So many highlights but I cant think now still to excited.
