Max Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 united have an interesting group. roma will be tough since last times ass whopping. sporting lisbon, nani and ronaldos previous club, should be great to see them going back to there. as for dynamo kiev.... fuck hard team to beat away, well they used to be, not sure about them now.
BlueStar Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 Noooo - last night saw the return of "Monty the Magpie". We've had ten years without the stupid bugger. One of my favourite halftime entertainments at away games is ripping the piss out of the sweaty oik in the lion suit, now I'd be a hypocrit. Edit: LOL, he's put the pics of his first day on the job on his myspace
Fields Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 Noooo - last night saw the return of "Monty the Magpie". And you claim to be a big club...
BlueStar Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 I don't claim anything. I follow do however follow my hometown club when I could quite easily have been a plastic scouse or plastic manc.
Fields Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 I follow do however follow my hometown club when I could quite easily have been a plastic scouse I do hope that wasn't aimed at me.
gmac Posted August 31, 2007 Posted August 31, 2007 meh not too excited by the draw, it's teams Celtic have played in the last 3 years. Qualification is possible since we put Benfica out in the group stages last year and we didn't lose to AC over 90 minutes of either game last season
Ramar Posted August 31, 2007 Posted August 31, 2007 Slavia Prague will be piss easy mate......we are gonna top the group baby!!! Careful they defeated the mighty ajax.
Roostophe Posted August 31, 2007 Posted August 31, 2007 Curtis Davies, man. I didn't see that one coming... -EDIT- Moustapha Salifou? F.C. Wil? Togo? What in the world?
Ramar Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 Bugger me, never saw us buying anyone. But yet again Arsene has got a Chelsea player at the last minute. Don't really know much about Diarra, but from what I recall he's strong, something we might need when playing away. Arsene shocks me again. Hopefully he'll turn out to be an inspired purchase.

We bought someone! That was a surprise to me, haven't heard anything about it on Sky Sports News this morning. Where exactly does he play? It says he's comfortable in defence and midfield, but we don't need central midfielders, so I hope he can play on the wing.
BlueStar Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 Signed Marseille captain Habib Beye and Abdoulaye Faye from Bolton So long Solano - Thanks for the memories, again
Chuck Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 Sam said he would only let Solano go if we signed them both I wonder if Dyer wouldve broke his leg at Newcastle if he hadnt moved. Oh well, its his own fault

Yes Arsenal clearly crying out for a center back who can also play right back. Winger are for girls iirc.
Mr-Paul Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 Carling Cup draw has been done, it includes: Arsenal v Newcastle Reading v Liverpool Hull v Chelsea Man Utd v Coventry. Hmm, alright draw for Arsenal I suppose, at least it's at home unlike almost all the Carling Cup games last year. Will probably try to get tickets for this, as they're usually cheap. Chelsea get an easy draw like usual.
Ramar Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 Lame, I was hoping we'd draw Norwich because I wanted to take my dad to a game at the Emirates.
Ant-Shimmin Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 Alright draw I suppose, a Home draw would of been best but Our 2nd string should go there and do the job....
Roostophe Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 Villa have got either Forest or Leicester. Bloody hell, another 2 clubs who love Martin O'Neill.
conzer16 Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 SETANTA It's SETANTA Jeeze, why do British folk find it so hard to spell/say the name??
Mr-Paul Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 Liverpool are doing quite well, 6-0 v Derby. Will boost their goal difference above everyone else by miles.
Noodleman Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 Jesus Christ, Derby should just give up now tbh. Would be for the best.
Happenstance Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 Looking forward to watching the Liverpool highlights tonight, shame the bloody streaming wasnt working well enough today for me to watch it live.
conzer16 Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 Highlights tomight will be awesome! 2 games with 6 goals each! Leeds still unbeaten!! 1-0 against Blackwell's Luton! We are now the true league leaders and the only club in the FL or the PL with a 100% unbeaten record! MOT!
darksnowman Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 SETANTA It's SETANTA Jeeze, why do British folk find it so hard to spell/say the name?? Sultana... wait, Santana! Oh hold on... ah, stuff it. Good win for the Pool. I woulda been happy enough with a 2 or 3-0 but six is uber!
