I would suggest ircle and this guide until Moria writes something up. The server you want to add, if it's not in the list, is irc.quakenet.org (with port 6667 if it asks for that).

I don't think there should be a guide/tips for Mac people. Macs are so easy to use, so intuitive, so simple, that there's really no need to help the users out with such menial things as IRC.

Tphi fixed the chat link at the top of the page so we don't have to type /join whatever, but I still can't write anything, even when I've joined #cube-europe. It says I must first type /join #your_channel, but there's no response when I do that, it just does the same when I try to type again. I can see everyone in there, but can't speak or see anyone else speak. I know other people have the same problem.

Yeah I made an edit to reflect this, its now actually worse I'm still asking for it to be sorted, for now an irc client seems to be the only option.

Mac users: download Colloquy (which means conversation, Windows users), drag and drop that shit into Applications (WOW, so simple!), hit New in the Connections pane, pop 'irc.quakenet.org' in there, Connect, then hit Join Room and copy and paste #cube-europe into the field.

 

Hash is shift-control-3, but that is not difficult to remember for us MAC BRANIACS, OR BRANIMACS.

 

And if you hate it, drop that shit into the Recycle bin and POW. The only thing I ADD and REMOVE is my willy YES.
