Caris Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 Patrick Park - Life is a song. You say life is a dream where we can't say what we mean Maybe just some roadside scene that we're driving past There's no telling where we'll be in a day or in a week And there's no promises of peace or of happiness Well is this why you cling to every little thing And polverize and derrange all your senses Maybe life is a song but you're scared to song along Until the very ending Oh, it's time to let go of everything we used to know Ideas that strengthen who we've been It's time to cut ties that won't ever free our minds From the chains and shackles that they're in Oh, tell me what good is saying that you're free In a dark and storming sea You're chained to your history, you're surely sinking fast You say that you know that the good Lord's in control He's gonna bless and keep your tired and oh so restless soul But at the end of the day when every price has been paid You're gonna rise and sit beside him on some old seat of gold And won't you tell me why you live like you're afraid to die You'll die like you're afraid to go Oh, it's time to let go of everything we used to know Ideas that strengthen who we've been It's time to cut ties that won't ever free our minds From chains and shackles that they're in From the chains and shackles that they're in Well life is a dream 'cause we're all walking in our sleep You could see us stand in lines like we're dead upon our feet And we build our house of cards and then we wait for it to fall Always forget how strange it is just to be alive at all I've bolded my fav bits.
The fish Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 Mad World - Gary Jules All around me are familiar facesWorn out places, worn out faces Bright and early for their daily races Going nowhere, going nowhere Their tears are filling up their glasses No expression, no expression Hide my head I want to drown my sorrow No tomorrow, no tomorrow And I find it kind of funny I find it kind of sad The dreams in which I'm dying Are the best I've ever had I find it hard to tell you I find it hard to take When people run in circles It's a very, very Mad World Mad world
chairdriver Posted June 3, 2007 Author Posted June 3, 2007 I never spend less than an hour,Washin' my hair in the shower, It always takes five hours to make it straight, So I'll braid it in a zillion braids, Though it may take all friggin' day, There's nothin' else better to do anyway. My World by Avril Lavigne.
mcj metroid Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 Mad World - Gary Jules The only song i can play and sing:)
Slaggis Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 Mad World - Gary Jules The best and most depressing christmas number 1 ever. Unwanted you don't know me Don't ignore me You don't want me there You just shut me out You don't know me Don't ignore me If you had your way You'd just shut me up Make me go away No, I just don't understand why you won't talk to me It hurts that I'm so unwanted for nothing Don't talk words against me I wanted to know you I wanted to show you Avril Lavigne

It's like reading a tv guide with an interesting plot). Do you really mean that, or are you joking? I mean... AVRIL LAVIGNE?
Jon Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 Rascall Flatts - What Hurts The Most I can take the rain on the roof of this empty house That don't bother me I can take a few tears now and then and just let them out I'm not afraid to cry every once in a while Even though going on with you gone still upsets me There are days every now and again I pretend I'm ok But that's not what gets me What hurts the most Was being so close And having so much to say And watching you walk away And never knowing What could have been And not seeing that loving you Is what I was tryin' to do It's hard to deal with the pain of losing you everywhere I go But I'm doin' It It's hard to force that smile when I see our old friends and I'm alone Still Harder Getting up, getting dressed, livin' with this regret But I know if I could do it over I would trade give away all the words that I saved in my heart That I left unspoken What hurts the most Is being so close And having so much to say And watching you walk away And never knowing What could have been And not seeing that loving you Is what I was trying to do What hurts the most Is being so close And having so much to say And watching you walk away And never knowing What could have been And not seeing that loving you Is what I was trying to do Not seeing that loving you That's what I was trying to do Ooohhh....

AVRIL LAVIGNE? lol yup i meant it, the song just kinda describes (if theres a better one PLEASE tell me) when you have a mate, who has all these other mates you dont know, you try and get to know them and they just ignore you. I can relate to it and quite a few of her other songs which is why like em', though as I said find a better one for me and i'll gladly listen to it. You have to hear a few of the songs that weren't released on the albums, its not all just the meaningless shite she had to write for "radio play"
Jon Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 Yep Caris. That song is awesome, especially the particular sequence it plays over in a certain show.
